Publisher's summary

Lady Annalyse Granville is a cursed second-born twin. Because of superstition and fear that a second-born twin is naught but a spawn of the devil, she's been sent to live with the nuns. However, she returns to her father's castle at Christmastime at her sister's request. Her sister is the king's mistress and very pregnant with his baby. And what happens during Annalyse's visit changes her life forever.

Ross Douglas has managed to get betrothed to an English lassie, having alternative motives in his head because of his hatred for the English king. But when he spies an innocent maiden standing under the kissing bough, he knows he has to kiss her.

Can one kiss change a man's life? What happens that Christmas changes everyone's lives in ways they could never expect.

Destiny's Kiss

This is a fabulous read that sets the stage for the next three books in the series. At first I wasn't going to bother to read, but I'm so very glad I did!!! Great characters, well developed that complement and establish the plot and continuing saga. Excellent prequel!

Cute "Pre-Teen" romance.

This was well written and a cute story. I'm not sure about getting any other books that are going to come out in this series. Whereas I enjoyed the story, there was no...I mean no steam. More like a like warm bath from three Jr. High experience kisses. Maybe this was just because it's only a prequel to the three stories that are going to be about each of the triplet boys. I'll look at those more carefully to see if they are similar to this style of it they become actual romance books with some heat. FYI...I'm not looking for eroticism or porn, but definitely more complete experience than Elementary/Jr. High. I'm passing this on to my 12 year old daughter, she starting to get more interested in reading romance books...perfect for her.

Wonderful!

This is a fantastic story of when King Edward's bastard triplets were born. It was well written and the narration will put you right into the time they were born.

A great short story

This story was intriguing. I loved how the narrator brought these characters to life, especially the Scott’s. The twins & the differences in the way they were raised made this story intriguing. Frankly, I would love to listen/read the next book.

A great prequel

This book has been well written. It helps set up her Legendary Bastards of the Crown series. This book can be read/listened to alone or as part of the series. I recommend before the series. Elizabeth Rose makes you feel as though you are right there in the room. You feel the angst that Annalise feels about how she had been scorned and pushed away by her family.

Great Beginning

This prequel is the story of the birth of King Edward’s bastard triplets, of which much has been written. I enjoyed finding out their beginning and want to continue the series, although I read another set of stories about them as adults. Excellent well-researched writing.
Good narration as well.
