Publisher's summary

Death by Marriage is Book 3 in the best-selling Caribbean Murder series, following Death by Honeymoon (Boo 1) and Death by Divorce (Book 2).

A well-known criminal lawyer is found dead in a back alley in St. Thomas, and Cindy and Mattheus are called in to investigate by the grieving widow. The local police have pinned her for the murder, and Cindy and Mattheus are her last hope in vindication.

As Cindy and Mattheus dig deeper into the victim's past, they learn that all was not as rosy as it seemed. They discover mistresses, gambling debts, vendettas, and a number of people who had motivation to want him dead. Most shocking of all, as they dig even deeper, they discover a whole secret life that he led, one so lurid that the people who knew him best can hardly even conceive it.

As a hurricane closes in and the police are insistent, despite all evidence, to arrest the widow, Cindy and Mattheus find themselves in a race against time to find the killer. When another body turns up, all involved realize the stakes may be even higher than they seem. And as Cindy and Mattheus develop feelings for each other, each grieving from the death of their own spouse, Cindy comes to realize there is even more at stake than she thinks.

Books 4-8 in the series are now also available.

Death In The Caribbean.

Cindy Blaine, was a Criminal Investigative reporter from New York and worked for a well known News Paper. Just recently while on their Honeymoon, her husband Clint, was mysteriously killed and naturally she was the prime suspect. The local Police was on a dead end cold trail, which left her no choice, but to prove herself innocent, which she did. Now with Clint gone, her alone, she knew she had to move on.

She received a message from a College friend, Dollia, in Grenada, asking her for help. She needed to get away for a new start, This seemed as good as any to start a new life, plus her friend Dollia, needed her help. Although she was not a P. I. , she had to go for her friend, Dollia. Cindy could not say no, so she came here to her aid her in proving her innocence. the Police was suspecting foul play by the Dollia, his Wife. That is always the first one on the list of suspects. She figured since She found her Husband's killer, she could probably find Dollia's husband's killer too! She found the killer with the help of a man named Ben Mataus, in no time. Now her name was in all the papers that she solved that crime, she became well known and everyone wanted her service.

She had met Ben, a former Police Officer, who wanted to start a Detective Agency with her. They seemed to work together very well and she was seriously contemplating starting a new life as a P. I. Mataus had thought of quitting the force for sometime and now was a good a time as any. He had his first client already, Kendra Cowan. She was the Wife of a Prominent Criminal Defense Attorney, Paul Robbins, who was found dead, lying in a back alley, in St. Thomas, on a Caribbean Island for sometime and decomposing. He was a known Prominent Defense Criminal Attorney. Police was suspecting foul play by his Wife also, Kendra Cowan. The Wife is always the first one on the list in a murder case and she was under suspicion. Kendra wanted a woman on the case. When Mataus told Cindy of Kendra's problem and suggested they start their on Agency, she didn't answer at first. Later discussions between her and Ben, convinced her to start their own Detective Agency. They and went to St. THomas Island. Upon their arrival, they we're greeted eagerly by Kendra Ghram. A woman Cindy had met in a bar, Heather, told her to go and talk with a woman named Margo who lived in th far edge of the island. Cindy was in for the shock of her life when she was arrived at the home of Margo Cowan.

This was a excellent book and kept my interest from page one. I enjoyed listening to this story, by Karen Sky and Narrated, by Fiona McGinness.

I recommend this book to all teens and above due to the mature of the story.

Death by Marriage

Another outstanding book about the Caribbean. I remember a bar called Norm's on the Waterfront when I was in Saint Thomas in 71 and 73. The place looked like something out of a Humphrey Bogart movie with its slow moving ceiling fans and the old wooden bar. Turn your stool away from the bar and see the water. I wish I were there now. Megan's Bay, one of the most beautiful in the world. It was once featured in Playboy.
I loved the mystery. I listened non stop. I need one more time in the islands.
