What was one of the most memorable moments of Deal with the Devil?
When Jude allowed Luce to finally work through the pain in her past and let her take back control of her life for good. Even in his own discomfort, he empowered her at every turn no matter what. He laid down his heart at her feet every chance he had.

Deal With the Devil. By Evangeline Anderson 2nd ed.
Somehow I missed reading this great stand alone paranormal drama/romance/urban fantasy and am so glad it has been offered again (I received an ARC for an honest review).
It is a story that not only encompasses romance, danger, adventure, hot sexy everything but also touches on tolerance for those that are different and/or have suffered emotional and physical trauma.
The author has done a wonderful blurb describing the book so I will concentrate on my review.
First of all the heroine, Luz (an non-shifting werewolf)suffers from panic attacks so badly it has stopped her from passing the bar exam several times, I also suffer form these and understand the trauma and fear these cause, and also left many tests unable to finish, so this was quite relatable.
Luz's trauma stems from some crazy customs her pack enforces that includes endangering young women. Her social pack climbing familyvolunteers their daughter for the unthinkable.
Despite this trauma (which is part of the reason she can not shift), Luz has the courage to leave her selfish family and gets through college and law school.Intelligent, beautiful with an inner warmth, I admired Luz's brave determination.
Unfortunately her panic attacks are affecting her work life and making it impossible for her to pass the bar exam.she hasn't even dreamed of attempting dating.
Along comes a gorgeous blond sexy vampire who, to her surprise, wants Luz desperately and not just for physical reasons. There is though something different and dangerous about Jude. This hunky alpha vamp is not only highly protective but a incredible amount of patience for Luz.
In this world vamps and weres not only don't get along but also avoid any relationships between themselves.
There are a lot the two lovers must work through not even including the huge miscommunications between the two species and little by the way of tolerance.
When Jude offers to make a bargain with Luz to help her overcome her panic disorder it's an offer she can't refuse. The romance and sexual attraction that grows between the two blossoms despite age old beliefs. Jude believes it's time to change some of these rules, clear up some of the prejudice and misconceptions between the two specie, he's not the only one who feels that way.
There is still the adventure, excitement, romance, very hot sexual scenes as in many of Evangeline's writing but I found this book a bit different and refreshing than this authors other stories. The delicate sexual experiences that co tributes to Luz's panic disorder was handled delicately, with care and respect.
There are some excellent secondary characters and great world building as well.
An awesome amazing read I'm so glad Ms. Anderson was able to bring it back to us. There's also a great preview at the end for the next Kindred book.
