Publisher's summary

New York Times best seller

Savor the magic of the season in a Christmas novel, filled with warmth, humor, the promise of love, and a dash of unexpected adventure.

Ashley Davison, a graduate student in California, desperately wants to spend the holidays with her family in Seattle. Dashiell Sutherland, a former army intelligence officer, has a job interview in Seattle and must arrive by December 23. Though frantic to book a last-minute flight out of San Francisco, both are out of luck: Every flight is full, and there's only one rental car available. Ashley and Dash reluctantly decide to share the car, but neither anticipates the wild ride ahead.

At first they drive in silence, but, forced into close quarters, Ashley and Dash can't help but open up. Not only do they find they have a lot in common, but there's even a spark of romance in the air. Their feelings catch them off guard - never before has either been so excited about a first meeting. But the two are in for more twists and turns along the way as they rescue a lost puppy, run into petty thieves, and even get caught up in a case of mistaken identity. Though Ashley and Dash may never reach Seattle in time for Christmas, the season is still full of surprises - and their greatest wishes may yet come true.

“This Christmas romance from [Debbie] Macomber is both sweet and sincere.” (Library Journal)

“There’s just the right amount of holiday cheer.... This road-trip romance is full of high jinks and the kooky characters Macomber does so well.” (RT Book Reviews)

Entertaining

This book was a wonderful Christmas story with quite a twist. Ashley cannot book a flight to see her mom and so she drives, because it is 4 days from Christmas plus some unforeseen circumstances, she carpools with a guy she has never met, but from first impressions, doesn't really like. They go on a wild adventure and are followed from San Francisco to Seattle by the FBI who think that Ashley is a terrorist on the most wanted list.
This book had me laughing the whole time, and in the end it left me with a smile on my face!

EXCELLENT

Would you consider the audio edition of Dashing Through the Snow to be better than the print version?

I did not get the print version, but with the weather just turning a little chilly, this was the perfect story to get you in the wintery mood.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It was a toss up between the police detective, hero and heroine. All the characters are very well developed and believable.

Which character – as performed by Allyson Ryan – was your favorite?

All! Allyson Ryan is an excellent narrator. Buy anything she does!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

It could happen to anyone.

Any additional comments?

This book was well worth the purchase. In the typical Debbie Macomber fashion you laugh, get indignant, and even get a little teary eyed and smile a lot. I only wish there had been an epilogue of a wedding and kids.

I enjoyed this and it was fun to listen to around Christmas, but it wasn't a favorite of mine from Debbie Macomber. But still a light and fun listen

DNF...goofy & far fetched romance

This is a really silly romance novella. I just had to stop listening because the falling in love angle was just so far fetched and way too fast. It features a side story about FBI that really makes them sound like buffoons and I would like to think more highly of men and women who put lives on line.

If you are desperate for holiday romance. give it a shot. Otherwise ... preserve your brain cells.

One of my favourite Christmas stories

I don’t particularly know what to say about this Dashing Through the Snow other than to state that it is officially my favourite Debbie Macomber Christmas story.

It has become my annual tradition to listen to this novel at least once during the Christmas, yet I still never fail to smile because of the characters and the situations they encounter.

Furthermore, Allyson Ryan did an incredible job at expertly bringing Ash and Dash to life. Her voice was calming and cheery; perfect for narrating a Debbie Macomber story.

Overall, I would highly recommend Dashing Through the Snow if you are looking for a cheerful and humorous tale to get you in the festive mood.
