This was a good story about an abused woman who is very head strong and immature who falls in love with an older man. this is a historical love story, and I enjoyed it.

LOVED THIS, A Different Kind of Regency Era bks

This was 1 of those books you can barely stop listening to & are praying when it is done there is another & that it is part of a long, long series. I've very much enjoyed this author, Patricia Rice. Although their are better narrators, this one is sufficiently good enough that you have no problem listening to the book and knowing which character is talking. She did a fine job. Also was great to see a young lady raised in such horrible circumstances break the cycle & make a great life, which can (in my own personal opinion) only be done if a young (or older) lady finds that ONE & ONLY man who can & will love her with UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! The H in this did that here beautifully...& a life (or 2 or 3) was changed! Highly recommend & once again my sincere thanks to Audible for offering these free books to get us by for those of us who listen to so many books it would be too expensive to be buying 3 new credits every few days or every week. I still buy extra credits if needed, gladly, as I just have no time to READ, & NEED audible books to take my mind off the horrible troubles we are facing in this world in 2022! I consider it my "therapy." Takes my mind away to a very different time in history. And who can't enjoy a good love story with a happy ending? SMILE! GET THIS & ENJOY!!😊

Touching romantic story. The bride wasn’t the cleverest problem solver but better heads prevail to a glorious ending for two well deserving couples.

Lots of twists and turns. A very entertaining story. Narration was good, I wish her male characters voices were better but overall it was good

The heroine is always creating a mess however, she does evolve and the love scenes are tender and tasteful. Easy to fall I love with this story.

What a fun story the characters were wonderful the narration was wonderful I just really enjoyed this book
