This story puts a weird spin on life

Very strange story (book is written in German) about a model German Government Employee, who goes so far to even live in the archives of the ' Amt ' he serves in.

One day a form shows up on his desk, Albert Glueck (Albert Good Luck) does not know how to process. He asks his boss (Vorgesetzten) and is told just to file the form until they know what to do with it.

Albert goes so far to trying to destroy the form, by putting it thru the shredder but it reappears. His Boss finally asks him to leave the office to make a house visit to the person who made the request via the form. Unknown to Albert's Vorgesetzten Albert has not even left the department to go into the real world for 30 years.

It's really a great story about overcoming your fears, finding real love, having empathy and understanding for other people and loss, packaged quite entertaining. You have to be familiar with German Bureaucracy to appreciate some of the finer points.
