Publisher's Summary

New York Times bestselling author Karen Robards continues her penchant for "fantastic storytelling" (RT Book Reviews) with this next heart-pumping romantic suspense novel, the tale of a brilliant ornithologist trapped on the remote Attu Island in Alaska, fighting for her life - and that of a handsome stranger - before they're swallowed up in darkness forever.

The story was pretty good - though I don't know if people that cold and that much on guard could have sex. My main problem was with the narrator mispronouncing ornithologist.

Do authors get to pick the narrator?

Would you listen to Darkness again? Why?

If I had read this book, the voice in my head would not have made the female character sound like such a breathless timid drama queen. The story was good. I liked the fact it was set in Attu where my grandfather was stationed in WWII. The characters were good if one only listened to the words and not the voice inflection of the narrator.
