Publisher's Summary

Book 2 - The Lake Willowbee Series
When a sheltered, former abused wife falls for the local carpenter/former Marine she's not sure she can dare to trust another man with her heart. When Evie Grimes' stalker ex-husband shows up dead at her back door she isn't sure what to trust; her old memories or her new love.
Brady Jackson is a former Marine. Now a carpenter, he is as honest as the day is long. What you see is what you get and what you get is a man willing to do anything to protect the woman he's grown to love.
When Brady falls for Evie he will have to prove he can be trusted with her heart. When danger arrives at her door he will have to prove he didn't commit murder to protect her. When everyone else turns against him, will Evie be willing to dare to trust?

Evie & Brady

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The male voices were annoying and grating.

Any additional comments?

Evie is constantly on the move to keep ahead of her ex husband. She is hoping he will not find her at her most recent location. Brady enjoys being with Evie and can tell something bad happened to her in a past relationship. He wants to keep her safe and keep her in town. I would have liked Evie to report her ex's previous contacts with her. I do not know how she thought she could be safe if she did not involve the authorities.
