Publisher's summary

As punishment for plotting with his brothers to steal immortality, Garreth is suffering a freezing torment until the end of time. Again and again his fierce fighter's physique is frozen into a chiseled ice sculpture, his heart hardening like a diamond in his chest - only to thaw and resume the chilling torture. Until, like his older brother, Dethan, he is offered a reprieve from a goddess - in exchange for his allegiance in a celestial civil war.

Garreth lives to fight and fights to live. But while laying siege to an embattled city, he finds another reason to go on - a beautiful warrior woman named Sarielle, who commands a mythic beast through a mysterious and powerful bond. Terrified of her strength, the city rulers have kept her captive, and now she refuses to submit to a new master. As Garreth seeks to unleash her passion and melt the icy resistance of her heart, will he become her ultimate salvation - or lead them both to greater destruction?

Cursed by Gods love still reigns true

This book is very good Jacqueline Frank is one of my favorite authors.
I find that love conquers all is long as you work hard towards for it, is my favorite types of romantic stories.
In the end the characters deserved their HEA because they suffered and sacrificed to obtain happiness.
So sweet... I can't wait for the next book in the series

A different kind of paranormal romance

This series is written like a mythology of old. It’s a story with a grievous mistake, a punishment given and served, a lesson learned, a great sacrifice and a just reward. All surrounded by the love of four brothers and the women they love. It’s worth a listen.

Jacqueline Frank is one of the best.

This is the second in a series of great stories. Looking forward to the next installment. 😍 another great series and the next sounds to be just as good but different from the rest.

Another good one

I love Jacquelyn Franks books I have every single audiobook. The narrator pulls you into the world and leaves you there. That is very important to me. Can't wait for the rest of the series.

Very enjoyable series!!!!

I’ve listened to this straight through and right after the first book as well. So glad I’m able to listen at work! Downloading #3 now! I love that it’s not total drama and of course I read this genre to escape and always have HEA! Great job to author and narrator!!

Once Again an Unbelievable Make Believe Story

Conquering cities, armour, horses and dragons you think this fantasy story is in medieval times, then the author screws up and inserts totally contemporary items, speech, thinking, etc... It's like she wrote the story but not very conscientiously. Loose ends, how did heroine throw the master up in the air. That went no where. Sorry but main characters are all wimps and very shallow. Don't know if I will continue with series. Narrator did a wonderful job.

You lost me at purple

I know some science fiction and fantasy novels have aliens with different hues. But I don’t typically gravitate to them. In this book the heroine is purple. Pair that with a slower story than in book one and that is a recipe for lost interest. I didn’t finish this book. However, it’s not terrible so I rated it a 3.
