Publisher's summary

Now that Volt and I are together, my life is complete. When I first met him, he wasn't what I was looking for. Harsh. Argumentative. And unavailable. But now, he's everything I ever could have dreamed of. My parents have met him, and of course they love him. But now my best friend since childhood needs to meet the man I'm going to marry. I just hope she loves him as much as I do.

Book 4

Any additional comments?

Book 4 and the emotional roller-coaster that EL Todd has put me through finally comes to an end, and what an end! Loose ends get tied up, in some rather unexpected ways at times. Dark secrets emerge and cause major problems. I totally loved this books and would highly recommend the series.

Slow Burn leads to HUGE Combust

Any additional comments?

Combust is the perfect title for this book because everything that Volt and Taylor have been working so hard towards, completely implodes. Hearts are broken and lives are torn apart. Tears are definitely shed before you reach an epic HEA that will make everything ok again.

Clay and Volt were such a great subplot for this series. My heart broke for Clay although I was very happy he had Volt, I was rooting for that kid to catch a break and get his own happy ending.

Volt and Taylor were explosive as ever. Volt actually lost a few points in my book throughout Combust. I really didn't feel like he handled the situations fairly and his treatment of Taylor was pretty rotten on more than one occasion. Taylor was as steady as always. Very level headed and reasonable and trusting. Even to the detriment of her relationship. Yet even after everything came to a head, she was still very rational about it. She is probably my favorite female lead ever. It's just a nice change to not want to shake the female main character for being an idiot.

Lia is the perfect Taylor. Her voice has that very confident tone that Taylor would have and there was more emotion in this book and Lia made me cry with Taylor's situation. I wouldn't change her narration for anything.

Michael gained some points with me as Volt lost some points with me in this one. I always felt Volt was a confident, more alpha male but in this book we learn that it was more of smoke and mirrors and he is softer than he appears.

I'm bummed this ride is over but I will definitely come back and visit Volt and Taylor often

I never saw this twist coming

This is the conclusion to the electric series. E.L.Todd certainly did not hold back in this story. Just when you think this will be a HEA, the twist hits like a brick wall and stops everything in its place. Taylor is so torn in her dilemma that I think she cannot see what is right in front of her. I found myself screaming, but remember what really happened quite often. Taylor did not listen to me any more than she listened to her own heart. I loved Volt's decisions and how he stayed true to himself through the turmoil. This was a very intense ending that left me loving some characters and hating some others.

Michael Ferraiuolo and Lia Langola nailed this narration. Their narration had to be spot on, because the characters were going through some intense situations. Mr. Ferraiuolo brought out every emotion, frustration and attitude of Volt. Mr. Ferraiuolo tugged on my heart strings with his narration of Volt. Ms. Langola brought Taylor to life. Each emotional and mental struggle Taylor had, Ms. Langola narrated to touch my emotions. Ms. Langola made it seem as if I was within the story and brought out my emotions as Taylor struggles with her decisions. I loved this series and wish it could have lasted forever. I have a major book hangover!

great series

the emotion and conflict in this story was so intense that I could hardly take it. I was joyous one minute and then practically in tears the next. I am very happy with his everything turned out and would recommend this series to anyone.
the narration was awesome through the whole series but this one seemed to be the best.

Combust

Taylor and Volt are ready to take the next step in their relationship, only problem Volt has never met Taylor's best friend Sara. Or has he? Plus will Clay ever forgive Volt for what he had to do? Great read.
