Publisher's summary

Cole Vargas has battled the demons that have plagued his nightmares, but winning the heart of the woman he destroyed is going to be the fight of his life. When Cole returns home wounded from his latest mission, his only thoughts are of the woman who still owns his heart and getting strong enough to stand on his own two feet in front of her, to beg for her forgiveness. Olivia Lafierre had her own nightmares to deal with since Cole said good-bye to her. Broken and alone, she lost everything the day Cole left and is still paying the price for loving him. When the two are thrown together before either are ready, secrets will be revealed, friends will become enemies, and past mistakes will push them closer to the edge. Contains mature themes.

Weak females should be a punishable offense.

Someone dumps you without a glance backwards, you go through hell for a year and they comeback and expect everything to be rainbows and sunshine because his presences demands it and you say sure. What? A couple of "I'm sorry" and you don't understand what I was going through was all it took. The author lost me at that point. I only continued because I wanted to know the secrets. Don't think the waste of time was worth it.

Okay

Definitely liked this one the least. Could have been better .. I hope this author has more books coming out. Book 1 was my favorite, it was soo good than the rest just went downhill from there..

A very good series

While I really enjoyed this series and became invested in the characters, this last book had some problems for me. The climax was just too unbelievable. The crazy sister and the ridiculous cover-up by the controlling mom. As a medical professional I know that cascade of events involving the hospital could never happen. I understand this was fiction. But there has to be a glimmer of possibility. And I didn't like the end where a family bought the home agreeing to keep the baby's shrine in tact. They should have taken it with them. The narration was good, a bit over dramatic at times.

I'd have given this series a far better review before the last half of this book.

good read but could be more developed

Good read but it got a little annoying waiting for everything to be revealed and resolved. Over halfway through the book until you finally know the reason why Olivia hasn't told Cole the whole truth. Loved the narration and the POV layout.
