The Adventures Continue

This installment in the TerraMates series leans toward the Indiana Jones action/adventure category, and I love it! Our heroine is a strong woman, and our hero is an alpha male. My favorite combo. While I'm cool with a bit of a damsel in distress, it's really refreshing when a sista who's doin' it for herself gets a little somethin' somethin' too. :)

Awesome performances by Samantha Leatherwood and Paul Brion. I like this narration team a lot! This is a great series of intergalactic short romances that pack a lot into each story and end happily to leave you feeling good. I highly recommend it.

I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review, and that's what you just read.

a funny story

apart from the drama and the war, I found this one pretty fun and light. I loved akuza he was so weird but cute more or less.

christine and axl were an odd pair, but glad they went past their differences, it took a lot of swaying but it was worth it.

the empress was so cool she was pretty insane, loved her and aunt meredith too pretty crazy but hey she did something nice for her niece.

lots of romance and fun in this one.

Great Story

This is another TerraMate book and it has its own unique take on the romance that developed. I loved that it was told from two points of view. I am not a fan of the lovers hating each other and then falling in lust then love but this one was not so bad. There is a complete story that surrounds the sex. It did not take over although there was a bit much. The narrator made the story come alive and feel like a story, not someone reading some words. There was one scene that made me think she was actually engaged when she was dreaming. Took a minute to get there.

Will the alien of her dreams make them come true?

What made the experience of listening to Claimed by the Alien Warlord the most enjoyable?

Since the book is narrated with alternating voices, you get to hear the different sides of the story from the perspectives of each characters. Going between the male and male voices really emphasize this.

What did you like best about this story?

I always like things to do with Indiana Jones style adventures. Adding that to the story increased the entertainment value, as well as, providing an excellent situation to play with the male-female chemistry in the book.

What about Samantha Leatherwood and Paul Brion ’s performance did you like?

Having the alternating male and female voices really helps to understand what the characters are feeling.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I was really glad that I listened to this book all in one sitting because once you become acquainted with the characters and story line, it would be hard to put it down and not find out what happened right away.

Any additional comments?

Some of the books in this Alien Romance series would be considered clean and sweet. But this one is definitely not one of those books. Lots of sensual heat within the covers.

Axl and Christine

This is not the first Terra Mates book I have read or listened to, I am a fan of the series. This particular book is different because Christine, the human in question has not signed up for the Terra Mates Programe but ends up having to marry Axl anyway.

Axl is an Acquirer who runs his own business called Maxim, they are the best acquirers in the galaxy and it is for that reason that they are hired by their Empress to find an ancient artifact. Finding this artifact will reap a great reward so although Axl disagrees with most of what his Empress does he agrees that he and his team will look for this artifact even though they believe the likelihood of finding it is low.

Christine is human and lives aboard her spaceship, she is an Acquirer who works alone, she is a strong feisty woman who was brought up by her maiden aunt after the deaths of her parents. Her aunt does not like her lifestyle and has enrolled her into the Terra Mates Program without informing her.

Christine has the artifact which Axl is looking for but refuses to give it to him, and in order to force her hand Axl decides to take desperate measures. I'm not going to tell you what they are because it would spoil your enjoyment of the story. What I will tell you is that the chemistry and attraction between Christine and Axl is very hot and although they both feel it, neither one of them wants to admit to it. Their story is fast moving and exciting but I have to say it is not really a romance, the romance aspect is more of a sideline to the main story but that does not make it any less enjoyable.

I was gifted this book and am voluntarily writing my review.

Good, but...

This one was pretty good. I like how the characters had a bit more excitement in their story and I liked how the story gave the characters a bit of time to develop their relationship. The addition of the bird-kindred spirit omen-phenomenon was interesting. It added a bit more intrigue into the story, a bit more romance too. I also really liked the character of Axel's father. I like how Kristine seemed to relate to his father, even without much thought. I'd be interested in seeing where Axel and Kristine are a few years down the road. The narrator did an okay job with this one, though I do think there could have been a bit more enthusiasm at times. Still, I look forward to whatever comes next.

Out of this World

I enjoyed this story of a tough heroine and a hunky alien. Both look for treasures to trade until they find a treasure in each other.

Another great book in the series

This story had humor, steaming romance, and action. when an earth women is sent to an alien plant without her knowledge she finds herself fighting for her life. That's until she is rescue by hot alpha Allen who will do anything to keep her safe.

The narration was good. I was provided with this book for a honest review by the author or narrator

Very Interesting Story

Christine is a kickbutt scavenger who knew how to take care of herself. Axl was a leader in his band of acquirers. Christine finds something that Axl's planet desperately needs. These two cross paths through a deception, and forged documents, on the TerraMates program. The real adventure begins here. There is action, both on the field and "behind closed doors" (wink, wink). What I liked about this is that Christine was portrayed as a strong, independent woman making her own way by her own decisions. She was smart and practical but human (no pun intended) as well. Many of the TerraMates books show the women as meager, helpless, dumb, or overplaying the victim. Not here!
Samantha Leatherwood and Paul Brion were a good fit for this audiobook, bringing out the characters' strong suits and making them believable within the story.

I do recommend this book to anyone wanting to dabble into SciFi Romance with a decent plot.
