I really enjoyed this book. It was definitely above average but I had a little bit of an issue with Lennon's baggage. Lennon is afraid of heartache, Jamie knows she is the one and is determined to make her realize it. They are really sweet and hot together. I love the close friendship in these books and how well they watch out for each other. All in all this was a great story. The issue I had is a personal one so I can't fault the author for that. Lennon has major daddy issues and honestly I just don't get it. Yeah your dad left you when you were a teenager, yeah you were devastated but really your an adult now...get over it. LOL Sorry I just don't get unnecessary baggage, it makes her seem a little like a drama queen to me even though nothing else about her feels that way at all. Anyways, I can't wait to hear Beth's story, I'm really curious how the author will write her story with the new boyfriend.
I loved Lucy Rivers narration of this book. For me she has really come a long way. Some of my first audiobooks were narrated by her and I wasn't really impressed but wow she gets better with ever book. Great job Lucy!

Today was day two of my Anne Jolin binge. After listening to Chasing Rhodes, I immediately fell in love with the story and the characters who made them come to life. Lennon was an insta-favorite because the mysterious details about her background and the way she kept relationships at bay were something I could identify with.
Jamison and Lennon's story started in Chasing Rhodes. So I knew there would be more and I was overly excited that the audio released early. Wow, the story was amazing. As I listened to it unfold, I swear I thought Lennon was me lol. She is independent, fiesty, and loves those in her circle, but being involved in a relationship was not her thing. The past for most people can often hinder us from progressing, until a persistent, unexpected person gently breaks the walls.
Jamison and Lennon's story was exceptional. I cried, laughed and even dropped a few "what the f-bombs". Anne is an author who captivates the audience by writing her characters so believable, that you forget they're fictional characters. Anne's ability to create realistic scenarious, conversations and circumstances makes for an easy and enjoyable listen.
Again, Lucy Rivers rocks it out and I can't wait to hear what she does with the remainder of the series!
