Predictable AND a cliffhanger

I liked the story. Sex scenes are HOT! Mostly predictable, but it is a cliffhanger in the end, which I didn't realize. Very frustrating that it is getting harder and harder to find a book that is a complete book.

Great read

I hope to listen to more books in the series. we need to know what is up with Lars.

Slow start, action packed ending

This book started out really slow, I nearly gave up on it. The first few chapters are mostly about business details and how things are run. Everyday life in an office job and contract details... Not something you want to read about.

Once the story started to pick up the pace though, it never stopped. The chemistry between the characters was great and there were plenty of hot steamy scenes mixed into the mystery and thrill of a murder on the loose.

There were a few things I was interested in learning more about, furthering the plot in a different direction, but I'm hoping it's something we will explore in a future book.

If you take out the first few chapters, or add something more interesting to mix it up, then this would be an excellent read! As it is, 4 stars for a mostly entertaining night.

Great storyline

is not supernatutal like I usually read but I liked the story now I am curious to listen the continuation of the story.... Kym Grosso books make my marriage catch fire.... after listening to her stories in combination with Ryan West voice in my ears I have to attack my husband lol

Loved the Story

The is a story packed full of suspense, mystery and hot sex scenes like only Kym Grosso can deliver. The narration while good seemed a bit monotone at times. I normally listen to audiobooks during my commute so I had to stop at times when I felt like I was being mesmerized by his voice. Other than that, it was a great read and listen.

Didn't quite finish it... I got a little bored.

I really enjoyed the beginning of the book and it seemed like it had a ton of potential. It's not necessarily that the potential I speak of was squandered, but I just got bored. Yes, there was a mystery here, but it just felt old by the end of the book. I'm struggling to explain what exactly made me stop the book with one hour left but I think part of it was that the male protagonist just wasn't for me. While he liked the thrill of doing dangerous things and was a little bit dominating in the bedroom, he was too... wholesome for me. I think I've been corrupted by dark romances because he felt so squeaky clean and the sex scenes were snoozeworthy at some points while at other points I enjoyed them. I did love the idea of a female protagonist that has panic attacks but is a strong woman in a male-dominated industry. I share a lot of similarities with her as someone that's going to school for a tech-related subject that had panic attacks for the better half of a decade now. So I get it, and I liked her. But it just wasn't enough... something crucial felt like it was missing here I just can't identify what it is. So I suppose I'd say that there were both high and low points. I wouldn't recommend this one, but I wouldn't say to skip it necessarily either. This might be for you if you like a touch of kink with your hunky businessman. The narration was excellent, Ryan West did an awesome job. It was a book, and not a bad one, it just wasn't my cup of tea I suppose.

Over the top and cheesy....

Not terrible but quite cheesy and unrealistic (despite the unrealistic premise to start with). Maybe if someone is attempting to kill you you shouldn't purposely keep yourself as distracted as possible from what is going on around you? I thought the characters were supposed to be smart?

Meh

The story line was great but I would have probably enjoyed it more with a different narrator. The cadence and tone of his voice makes everything seem sinister, didn't feel any sexiness in the hot scenes at all.

good book that turned into a can't put it down until down about half way through. Thrilling with steamy romance. Good narration. Thank you, Lyn. Everyone enjoy.
