HE'S TOXIC, SHE'S INNOCENT & HEARTACHE IS THE GLUE

Rocker bad-boy and bad-ass Warren (aka War) has stormed away from his Band Tempest and he's had enough.... enough of being thrown away, enough of the heartache and enough of the pain - but just as he's ready to end all and jump a compelling female, all dressed in pink, pleads to save him. One night, that's all he's prepared to offer this mysterious and captivating woman.... but she must stay naked or the deal's off.

Soap star actress Shaina feels she's got so much in common with this sorrow-filled handsome stranger because she's trying to overcome a painful tragedy and loss in her life too so, in desperation, she bargains with him in the hope that she might just make a difference. But what she's not prepared for is the instant connection, sizzling chemistry, raw passion and hot sex that has her falling madly and deeply from the start. However, War's toxic nature and a terrible misunderstanding soon has devastating hurtful consequences for them both which turns Shaina's love into hate and War's anger and rejection into the possibility of finally finding healing and dare he hope for.... his salvation too.

Instant lust and love quickly followed by a lot of angst and drama filled weeks as they both do a 180 in their personalities which makes for a very addictive, enjoyable and drama filled listen. But what makes this sooo good (for me) is the dual POV's and the dual narration which is said as if they are having an actual conversation with each other rather than chapters of the male narrator trying to do the female's voice and vica versa..... what a refreshing change.

Worth a credit? To get the most from this listen it would be better to listen to the backstory in the previous books and, as with those previous Tempest books, the characters really grab me, their stories entice me and the HEA endings always leave me wanting more. So creditworthy? YUP, and it's a series I'll gladly follow.... however beware, as with all these rock star romances, there is a lot of 'as if's', eye-rolling and 'instant' love but you know what? I know this is escapism FICTION (which I love) and so.... I just didn't care.

- CAROLYN "I love being swept away by a new romance and thankfully Audible's ever growing Library means I get to indulge myself over and over again"

An unusual love story

Would you listen to Captivating Bridge again? Why?

Yes, because it's a good story with interesting characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Captivating Bridge?

When they figured out that they're better together than apart and found the guts to stand together.

Have you listened to any of Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to several, this is one of their better performances.
