Publisher's summary

Kidnapped and held prisoner by a menacing Scottish brigand, Violet does her best to persevere and resist his rakish charms. When she realizes the brigand is really Ewan, the boy who once saved her life, who once kissed her and ruined her for all other kisses, she is lost.

Ewan desperately needs the respectability a titled bride can bring him. But when his kidnapped betrothed is delivered - bound and gagged - he discovers it's the wrong woman. And not just any woman - it's Violet, the person he blames for ruining his childhood. He keeps her, determined to punish her in every sinful way he can devise, until the seething passion between them strips away old grudges and leaves him reeling.

By the time he realizes the depths of his feelings for her, she's fled. All he can do is follow her - and win her back by partaking in the glittering London Season, where the harpies are far more dangerous than a Scottish brigand.

Another great book

Another great book in the series. Lots of sex scenes though not as steamy as some in the other books. Narration was great as usual.

The story tried but wasn't quite redeemable

This story had promise, I've read others with a similar tome but this one failed in that Ewan really had no redeemable qualities. I'm sorry but when you have a male who watches one of his own employees assault "his love" in his own home but does nothing to intervene, he is NOT redeemable. His other actions were bad but you could follow them in the story as to his reasoning. Many of the reactions I disagreed with. Like other authors, the reactions are contrived to move the story but these just went to quickly. I'll move on to other authors.

Too Hot

The kidnapping is brutal and the sex that follows and follows is more a rape that is tolerated and enjoyed.
Not my cup of tea

I liked it until...

I was all for this third book in the series... until the author screwed up her own timeline. She didn't have one of the character interactions that happened in the previous book in the right place - timeline-wise and I couldn't concentrate on the book after that. If you haven't read the previous book, then you'll have no issue with this, but unfortunately, I did.
