Superb suspense novel!

Quite apart from the graphic sex scenes one expects from authors such as Kendra Elliot, Bridged is a superb suspense thriller and the Mason Callahan and Ava McLane series books are excellent listens. Narration is outstanding.

This novel is about ritualistic serial murders beginning with the brutal slaying of a member of the US Congress. Cop Callahan works with FBI Agent McLane, his now live in girlfriend, to solve the mystery.

Great Book Under $8

A intense murder mystery and psychological thriller. A series of murders occur in a short time-frame. Each murder is a little more brutal as the killer adds a new element to the torture of each victim. Two investigators, also lovers, set out to solve the murders not knowing that eventually one of them will get closer to the killer than is safe. The back story is intriguing. The murders are linked to an incident that occurred early in the lives of the male victims. The victims shared a secret that will cost them their lives. The story is well written, well paced and suspenseful. The killers motives are gradually and cleverly revealed as the story progresses. To add to the good listen, there is an intensely, satisfying love story without any graphic sex scenes.
Although the book is part of a series it can be a stand alone listen

Nick Podehl , Amy McFadden were good with the delivery of the story.

More like a TUNNEL...

I read Book 1 in this series and it was, if a little wordy and too long, promising. Book 2 however is either an example of sophomore slump or typical of the author and should be avoided in the future. I will perhaps decide this if I can borrow Book 3 for free, give the author another try. I will NOT buy book 3. Book 2 had a promising story line but the author kept the subplot of the FBI agent's twin sister too much in the spotlight. Because of this, the author had to keep re-telling the emotional turmoil of Agent McLane regarding her twin. I'm sorry but at her supposed age and after so many years of dealing with a narcissist with a healthy dose of sociopath thrown in, plus a multiple addiction problem, a trained agent should be able to deal with this better than constantly dropping everything to "rush" to her oblivious sister's side and to try yet "one more time" to help her. Seriously?. Are we going to keep this around for the whole series and drop it into the story whenever the author feels too lazy to actually create a plot twist? Aha, Agent McLane suddenly goes off on her own, chasing crazy sister (whose symptoms seem to keep adding up with each novel, btw) without telling anybody again, and oopsie steps into the middle of the serial killer plot - wow, what a twist! Golly gee.

Then there is her instantaneous yet steadfast, no matter what she does, new found yet inexplicably devoted to her forever, new lover, who stands by her when what he should be doing is getting her into therapy. If a definition of crazy is doing the same thing repeatedly while expecting a different outcome, Agent McLane qualifies for very long term care. Because after 30 plus years of (not really) dealing with this special bond between twins, FBI woman still thinks SHE can change things, all by herself. One thing I can thank the author for is pointing out that the special bond between twins is - CRAZY glue! This factor overshadowed what started out as a decent enough plot but soon became a showcase for the continuing soap opera that is Agent McLane's life. I wanted a mystery thriller with some romance but what I got was a constant re-hashing of the main character's conflict with her sister. Not good mystery, not good romance, not good at all.

Awesome narration.. Wonderful book..

Any additional comments?

I just love Mason and Ava. And this was another terrific read. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The secondary characters, Ray, Zander, Euzent, Troy, Aaron, Carson, Joe and Rick were fascinating, even if some were the bad guys. And I just hate Ava’s sister, Jayne. Good grief, what a freakin’ mess she is. I really wouldn’t mind if she died. I do look forward to Spiraled, which comes out in June. AND for those of you who are concerned about there being sex in these book you can stop worrying. There's NO sex, which is a bummer as far as I'm concerned, but the murder and mayhem helps to make up for it.

As for the narrators: Absolutely, positively, unbelievably, without a doubt, AWESOME!

Good characters

The female voice is a little nasally. If you can get past that the story is good

can't wait for the next one

amazing I love a good thriller or mystery what ever this was. Nick Podehl and Amy McFadden are wonderful when they're reading a book together like that.

not as good as the first one

the narrators made this book good. I like Kendra Elliot writing but this one would not have been completed if 8t wasn't for audible. no way would I have read this book all the way through. such a shame because the first one was pretty good.

Book 1 Was Much Better

Amy McFadden's attempt at a low, sultry voice for Ava was laughable. I usually like her narrations, but this one needed some work. Nick Podehl's performance was great, though. The story didn't hold my attention like book one did, but if Elliot releases another book in this series I'm sure I'll give it a shot.
