Publisher's summary

Breaking Hollywood is a hot and hilarious stand-alone romance from New York Times best-selling author Samantha Towle....

It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot.

Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong.

Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here.

So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds? And keep getting flustered when I see him shirtless? Breaking Hollywood wasn't part of the plan. But neither was falling in love with him.

"Breaking Hollywood is romantic comedy at its best. It's laugh-out-loud funny, incredibly sexy, sweetly heartfelt and unadulterated fun.... You'll be smitten with everything about this entertaining, steamy, and feel-good romance." (USA Today's Happy Ever After)

PERFECT.. A WICKEDLY FUNNY RIOTOUS ROM/COM

While the Publisher’s Summary gives you a brief outline of this book’s plot it just can’t describe the smooth quick-witted banter, the hilarious laugh out loud quips, the feisty chemistry between the hero and heroine and the very addictive slow-build of enemies to lovers. It’s a well-paced feel-good rom/com with dry humor, a bit of heartache and heat.. and it’ll leave you seeking more from this talented author.

Gabriel Evans is a drool-worthy, broody, cocky, bad boy movie star who can get any woman he wants, Ava Simms has recently been dumped by her boyfriend, just been sacked and is about to be homeless.. so total opposites. But Fate has spectacularly brought them together thanks to a smartcar and a broken foot and, while they bicker, throw barbs and verbally spark and spar with each other during many hilarious run ins, behind the scenes their attraction and sexual chemistry builds.

I’ve never listened to better lol smoothly written banter, Gabe and Ava are great characters, the sexy times (when they eventually err... come) are hot and the inevitable angst to their relationship is heartfelt because Gabe has a serious secret which turns the emotional tide for a while. This addictive dual POV rom/com mainly took place between Gabe and Ava in his penthouse with a few secondary characters appearing towards the end.. but who needs secondary characters when there’s Ava’s pampered pigmy goat called Gucci.

Worth a credit? Oh it so is.. Gabe’s stubborn and Ava’s a sassy spitfire, I loved being a fly on the wall witnessing their amusing antics and this perfectly paced riot of a journey captured me from the start. A good balance of fun and feels.. and the narration was great too.

Holy Swoon! FANTASTIC!!!!

Samantha Towle NEVER disappoints. From laugh out loud moments to gut dipping heartbreak. This book has all the feelings a romance novel should have.
Christian Rummel and Brooke Bloomingdale delivered a performance that I could listen to again and again. They had me eating out of the palm of their hands!!
This is going to the top of my favorites list. In fact, I already ordered the paperback to add to my shelf!!
Seriously Amazing Read. The writing is so quick and catchy. The dialogue between the two main characters will have you doubled over in laughter. It's sexy, charming, witty, swoonworthy and funny as can be!!!

This book totally made my day!!!
Highly Recommend!!

A Goat?

3 1/2 stars but I’m rounding up. The male narrators acting was horrid. The beginning of the book was pretty good but the 12-year-old banter got old pretty quick. My biggest problem with this book is YOU CANNOT KEEP A PYGMY GOAT IN THE HOUSE. They cannot be house broke – at all. Not even a little bit. Trust me, I have many. They will also destroy anything they get a hold of and they would head butt holes through the wall. Goat was just the wrong choice. It was written like the goat was no different than a dog or cat. If the author wanted the female lead to have an unusual pet, she should have given her a potbelly pig. Those make very nice house pets. I have several of those as well.

Laugh your head off and melt your heart great read.

This is a great listen. The story is fun and engaging and heart-warming in equal parts. The goat drama just adds to the fun and the evolution of Gabriel and Ava’s relationship is so special to be a part of. The narration was spot-on and Christian Rummel does an awesome job of the bad boy you can’t help but secretly love even when he’s being a jerk. Love Samantha Towle’s books and this is another in a line of great stuff from her.

Awful all around

Terrible male narrator. The story is so unrealistic its ridiculous. Who sits on the sidewalk and argue with the person who just ran a car over their foot? Who had a goat for a pet? Don't waste your credit, this is garbage.

Absolutely loved it!

Loved everything about this story! The two main characters argue like children right from the start. It was funny and sort of became their thing. Their bickering was more friendly than actually vicious. There were a few times Gabe made me so angry I wanted to slap some sense into him. Like Speedy (love the nickname btw) though I couldn't help but fall in love with him. Gucci was adorable and showed Speedy's caring side. I would consider this a light and funny story but there are some really sad moments as well.

Narration was amazing! The female did a great job with all the characters and I will definitely listen to her again. Christian Rummel is a top favorite of mine and I hope he narrates more romance books. His voice fits the bad boy characters so well.

soooo many "F-bombs"

Listener be warned: If you can ignore the vulgar words and behavior of Gab the story eventually has a nice ending. although, to get to that ending you have to endure Gab's harshness. Just the demeaning way Gab describes women is cringe worthy and insulting. If Ava wouldn't have had a counterbalance of sass the book would have been too much to take.

I almost gave up a couple times because there were multiple scenes that were so sexually explicit and vulgar. Gab's constant "F-bombs" and sexually explicit descriptions were wince worthy.

The narrators were good and were the only reason I didn't give up on this story. I am glad this was an audibles escape story or I would have returned it.

Disappointed in the language

I am sure the story line is ok but I just couldn't get by the constant use of Jesus C****. If you are comfortable with hearing that and other words with the lords name used in that manner this book is for you. It sounds cute and the goat sounds like an fun addition to the story. I can't get a true honest review on the book because I couldn't listen to it based on my faith. For those that are like me this book is not for you for others than I am sure it would be a great listen. Also, if you are concerned with smoking and drinking being constantly mentioned than that is something you should consider (that personally didn't bother me but it is talked about a lot from the short time I listened to it. The performance was great though from what I heard.

Started out okay...

Just got wonky. She is such a pushover, he is just a dick. Maybe the narrators were a little off? Slow, slow, slow, go super fast and moody, slow. His smoking is irritating but the goat is funny. The plot twisted and turned strangely. Mixed feelings about this.

Great Hollywood bad boy meets sweet girl romance

This was a great romance story. The author did a great job with the characters and the story. There were time when I laughed out loud and times when I teared up. The characters, Ava (Speedy) and Gabe (Hoppy), were so entertaining. I did get a little bored with the setting. Most of the book they were in his apartment. Ava was a strong, positive character. I really liked this book and the narrators were excellent. They did a great job with the characters and the story.
