Publisher's Summary

Born an Outcast, Talyn Batur has spent the whole of his life fighting against the prejudice of his people. An Andarion without a father is not something anyone wants to be. But when his companion's brother draws him into a plot against the Andarion crown, he finds himself torn between the loyalty to the planetary government that his mother has beaten into him and his own beliefs of justice and right. Now he must decide for himself to remain a pawn or to defy everything and everyone he's ever known to stand up to tyranny. It's a gamble that will either save his life or end it. And when old enemies align with new ones, it's more than just his own life at risk. And more than just his homeworld that will end should he fail.

Major Fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! I have recommend this series to all my friends that like PNR and Sci-fi and they've all said they love this series.

What other book might you compare Born of Defiance to and why?

I don't read many Sci-fi romances; however, I love SK Dark Hunters series so I wanted to give this series a shot to see if I would like it. I am so glad I did, I loved it!

Which scene was your favorite?

There was not a scene I did not like, but I especially love the scene regarding the voicemail message Jane left for Talyn (don't want to ruin it for anyone.)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

SK books are well-rounded in my opinion. They have suspense, action, humor, and romance, and this story had me on the edge of the seat, panting, and laughing out loud ~ wow!

Any additional comments?

Definitely worth a credit.

I finished the book in one day. I love the hero,, Talyn Batur and his companion. They both complement each other. Always there for each other and their love is so strong. I like how stoic he is in hard times. Love Fred Berman's performance and the different voices for all the different characters. Very well done indeed. I up understand the next book in the series will released later part of this year? I hope so.
