Publisher's Summary

When Parker Blanton meets Ben Olsen during her freshman year of college, the connection is immediate - and platonic. Six years later, they're still best friends, sharing an apartment in Portland's trendy Northwest District as they happily settle into adult life. But when Parker's boyfriend dumps her out of the blue, she starts to wonder about Ben's no-strings-attached approach to dating. The trouble is, even with Ben as her wingman, Parker can't seem to get the hang of casual sex - until she tries it with him.
The arrangement works first. The sex is mind blowing, and their friendship remains as solid as ever, without any of the usual messy romantic entanglements. But when Parker's ex decides that he wants her back, Ben is shocked by a fierce stab of possessiveness. And when Ben starts seeing a girl from work, Parker finds herself plagued by unfamiliar jealousy. With their friendship on the rocks for the first time, Parker and Ben face an alarming truth: Maybe they can't go back. And maybe, deep down, they never want to.

"It's my kind of book, sexy and witty, and the banter between the characters is off the charts." (Sidney Halston, author of Laid Out)

(shrugs) Meh...This book just didn't do it for me; like at all. I've always liked the concept of friends becoming lovers. I know its a line that some wouldn't cross, but that's never really been my issue. Any who, this book just missed the mark for me. I'm sure it gets all angsty toward the middle and blah, blah, blah, but I couldn't even finish it.

It felt kind of incestuous. I mean, in the beginning of the book they go on and on about how they have never seen each other as sexual beings and he's more like a brother and she's this annoying sister he's never had and blah, blah, blah. And then all of a sudden you're having sex?? Really? And it wasn't even good sex to boot..(at least not in my opinion.) To put it simply, the sex scenes were sub par. I mean, if you're going to risk your friendship shouldn't the chemistry be out of control? Shouldn't the sexual tension be thick enough to cut with a chainsaw. People should be literally chocking on the pheromones you and this person give off when they are in the same room as the two of you. I didn't get any of those things from this book. The narration was good though.

Take my advice. If you're looking for a book that does friends to lovers perfectly with the hot sex, heart racing tension and angst, listen to Before Jamaica Lane, by Samantha Young. You will not regret it.

All Kinds Of Feel Goods

I absolutely adored this book. It was very well written and completely addicting. And although completely predictable, it was the best kind of predictability when you need a book to swoon over. I can't wait to bust this book out in between deep, emotional reads when I need to smile and laugh.
