Not a romance. Victoria is unwillingly made into a vampire and Seth, a werewolf, in a moment of insanity. decides he will teach her to be a humane vampire. This isn't a romance, it's not a comedy, there really isn't a message or lesson that the characters learn. Spoiler alert: Seth eventually gives up and takes her to other vampires to be raised. The narrator did a good job and I've listened to several books she's narrated. sometimes she comes across like a teacher and she can make her female characters sound whiny and her male characters sound dopey.

This book started out intense and stayed that way. There was a lot packed into a short listen, sometimes too much. Narrator did a good job but sometimes the emotional reactions didn't match her voice emotions also made male lead sound juvenile at times.
