“But sometimes our scars are the most beautiful storytellers.” I am a huge fan of the Palm South series, so when I heard that this follows Skyler and the other characters I knew I needed it! I will not say I was disappointed, but I did not like it as much as the Palm South Series. This was a little too slow for me. I normally can finish books in a few days, but I found that this one took me a few months. I just had a hard time picking it up. I think this was due to loving the other series so much, and not due to not enjoying this one. I was a little confused when this takes place, as I thought it was written before some of the others but it still mentions details from the others. It did not bother me at all, but I recommend reading the Palm South series first. You will have a better appreciation for the characters and the side characters. I also did not love how some characters were portrayed in this one. I did not feel like they were the same as how they were in the series. I did not like Erin in this at all, and Skyler was not as hardcore as I was expecting. I did enjoy that all of the characters were sprinkled within the story though. I still really enjoyed this though, and I was happy to get back into this world! I cannot wait for more.
Any additional comments?
Didn't finish. It felt a little immature to me and just couldn't get into it.
