Publisher's summary

Melina Parker prides herself on being a lady in public, but after she's dumped yet again for being a lady in the bedroom, she's ready to go back to school.

Determined to find her inner sex diva, she enlists her childhood friend, Max Dalton, to tutor her after hours.

Instead, she ends up in the wrong bed and gets a lesson in passion from Max's twin brother, Rhys Dalton, a man Melina's always secretly wanted but never thought she could have.

I wanted to like this, really...

But I couldn't get past how annoying the female lead was. Her constant internal dialog was kept spinning and whining and changing direction. It was like she had a multiple personality disorder. First she only wants to find someone she can help teach her how to be a good sex partner because her previous three partners told her she was basically a dud in the sack. Of course the fact that they didn't turn her on or even really try to didn't clue her into the fact that she was just with the wrong partners.

Then her friends talk her into approaching one of her hot male friends into showing her how to be good in bed. So of course after a lot of inner dialog, (a lot!), she does but ends up with the twin she is in love with vs the twin she is just friends with.

Of course he is in love with her and right from the beginning he tells her it's his dream come true to be with her. He finds her hot and sexy and he can't get enough of her. Does she think yay. I like him too now we can be together? No she is basically a jerk to him until practically the very end. More, and I mean way too much more inner dialogue about how he us being a jerk no she is being mislead or is due for a letdown. Blah blah endless blah instead of taking him at his word she is just mean and weird. I don't honestly know why he loved her.

Save your money unless you like supposedly intelligent women acting like a bratty angsty child

I guess it was ok

I don't really have much to say about this book. It wasn't good or bad really. The premise of the not traditionally attractive, studious woman who has low self esteem and who's been told she's bad in bed is overdone. I thought that the narrators voice was screechy and annoying and thought the book might have been better if done by a male or as a dual narration. Aside from those things, I found one scene in the book to be unexpected and odd... I searched to see if anyone else commented on the rape of the male main character by the female main character but I found nothing. I saw a few people comment that she was drunk and didn't know who she was sleeping with the first time she slept with him and thus it was rape. But no one mentioned the fact that late in the book she handcuffed him without his permission, repeatedly ignored his requests to be let loose and performed a sexual act on him. It was a quick scene and easily glossed over in the books climax which happened directly after.. There was never another mention of the scene in the book except a vague reference to 'bad memories' associated with a pair of handcuffs. I understand the author probably thought this would be sexy but it was still non-consensual sex.

Immature

The story had very little detail. Was poorly written, and sounded like it was written by a teenager.

Good, but could use a little work.

This was a fairly good story, but was bogged down by Melina's insecurities and whining. The book had potential to be great and I had hoped for a little more humor or even shock factor to make this story really pop, but sadly it falls short. I liked and hated the sex scenes, they start off sexy but manage to fall flat at the end. But overall this was a fairly cute story if you can get over Melinda, so if you're looking for a romance to get away from life, this one will do the trick. I probably won't continue on, but I see the author has a vampire series I might try. Narrator was pretty good.

Great story of opposites attract

I enjoyed the story. Seeing both main characters come together after caring for each other for years was enjoyable.

WELL WRITTEN BOOK!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's a sexy contemporary romance you won't be able to put down!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bedding the Wrong Brother?

When Max sent his twin brother Rhys to meet Melina in his place!

Which character – as performed by Ellen Lange – was your favorite?

Melina! The narrator did a wonderful job with the character's voice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Double trouble!

Any additional comments?

Awesome job! Would definitely recommend this book!

Steamy Listen

I enjoyed this story. I read book 3 first so I knew where the book would end up, but I never thought the journey in between would be so addictive. Reese and Melina were both reserved in their own right but together they had the right chemical reaction.
The audiobook was great. I really enjoyed the narrator with this book as well. I love that she matched what I was thinking in my head to what the characters (down to the inflection in the voices) sound like.

Run on sentences

Would you try another book from Virna DePaul and/or Ellen Lange?

By Virna DePaul maybe, but not Ellen Lange. I don't like the narrator and I think she really brought what could have been a cute book down. She reads in run on sentences, weird inflections (or lack of inflection if the situation calls for it). Also, it was really hard to tell the difference between spoke words and internal thoughts and at times between each character. There was little voice difference between the male and female characters.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Haven't gotten there yet. Having to force myself to finish this audio book b/c the narrator is so poor.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ellen Lange?

I think there are a lot of good narrators. Someone who understands what grammatical punctuation when reading a sentence means. Someone who can develop a different voice for each character. I have enjoyed books by Jill Redfield and Amanda Ronconi.

Do you think Bedding the Wrong Brother needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

The setup for the story leaves it wide open for ongoing stories for the brother & the female leads group of friends. There is potential.

Any additional comments?

I think I would have liked this book better if I had read it instead of listening to it. The narrator really brought this book down.
