I pretty much love anything that comes from the talented mind of Michele Hauf and this one, whilst being a 'bit different', was an enjoyable listen and it's the start of her new In The Company of Vampires series.
You don't get a hunky alpha type hero but instead you get Domingos, a tortured by sadistic Werewolves, damaged, nearly mad vampire bent on revenge and Lark, a Huntress and part of The Order known as Knights, but she too was haunted by her past and trying to revenge a wrong. He is such a sweet, tender, likeable character that you just can't help but fall in love with and root for him as he tries desperately to befriend Lark as they call a truce between them day by day until a bond is slowly formed followed by attraction, desire and hot on it's heels.... sex and love.
But for most good stories there's always the 'bad guys' namely Rook and King who are in charge of The Order and in this paranormal action-packed listen it is suggested that they are not human and they try to destroy alliances and interfere but who are they really and what is their goal? - we will have to wait and see.
Worth a credit? An entertaining, enjoyable but heart-wrenching love story and I can see this series getting better and better so I'm patiently waiting book 2 - hint hint Michele - please please don't keep your fans waiting long.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If you love vampire eroticism, you'll love this one. I listened to it on a long drive and was ready to get back in the car and finish the next chapter!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Beautiful Danger?
The scene when Domingos is slamming his head into a wall would have completely freaked me out. You'll have to read it to see what I'm talking about!
Which scene was your favorite?
Every love scene is my favorite.
Any additional comments?
The narrator's voice was very pleasant and soothing, which is important for a book of this nature. She's easy to understand and I love that she can speak with a french accent that doesn't sound corny. I wish this narrator had done all of the Harry Potter books - that's hours of listening to a bad british voice I can't get back. :)
