Publisher's summary

As one of the few humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home. Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he wants me. It's hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako when all I want to do is grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs. But I've got a terrible secret - the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me. My presence here endangers everyone...but can I give up my new life and the man I want more than anything?

Contains mature themes.

Barbarian dildo when u care enough 2 give the best

My favorite of the series.

I like my romances the way I like my snacks: sweet and salty. Kira and Aehako’s story has the right balance of all the things I love about this campy big blue alien romantic series. Some of the later books dwell too much on angsty back stories or the ladies are too mean or resistant to looking at being stranded on alien ice planet Not Hoth with a glass half full attitude.

Here, although Kira is worried that her inability to have kids will get her cast out by the Sakui, Aehako’s flirty, optimism easily overcomes her angst. There’s plenty of humor and sass as Aehako sets about courting “sad eyes” Kira. I like the additional interactions between the humans, especially Liz (sassy Liz, I like her better with each book). I also like the addition of Sakui family members to build in relationships other than just couples. And this book has more action, and doesn’t just let the males be the heroes. As much as I love a good alpha male romance, I love even more when big, sexy blue-suede beasts are matched by strong, fierce ladies. Nice, naughty, and noble. Yum.

Aehako and Kira's story is a great read. Ms. Ruby has done it again. One of my favorite stories in the series.

Fun

This was a fun trip into the world of ice barbarians and the beginning bit with the alien dildo makes it my favorite. I’m so glad that paid off from the last book

Romantic and entertaining.

This is book 3 in the ICE PLANET BARBARIAN SERIES and it wasn’t until this novel that I liked the heroine’s voice from the start. She sounds her age – 22. In the previous novels, the same narrator, Hollie Jackson, has been coarser sounding. At the time, I didn’t realises it was in order to distinguish between all the lead women participating in the series - because they are often speaking together in subsequent books. I now know Hollie Jackson has a large repertoire of “voices” and I am filled with respect for her.

I enjoy the performances of the male narrator, Mason Lloyd, but I can’t tell the difference between his male lead voices between books. The differences might be there but I’m not picking them up. All I know is that he is so good, I hope he narrates the whole series along with Ms. Jackson.

This story is action packed, and filled with lively and wonderful characters, including the main characters Aehako and Kira. Their romance is enjoyable. Aehako is charming and positive, and I relished watching him spread his love and light to Kira. She struggles with the responsibility that has befallen her because of the translator in her ear, an unwanted legacy of the nasty aliens who kidnapped her from Earth.

I’m a bit distracted by the presence of alien spacecraft on the planet, but I’m so charmed by the characters and stories in the series that I’m willing to wait and see what the author intends to do (in later books) with the alien technology lying around.

I have listened to many books in the series now, and can only describe my experience as follows: I am thoroughly entertained.

Each story stands alone, but I recommend reading/listening to book 1 at least (although it is not essential), before experiencing others.

I Am Loving This Series!

This is a really fun and well written series. The premise consists of a bunch of Earth women who are kidnapped by some evil aliens, then things go awry and they all end up “stranded” on some distant primitive planet consisting (conveniently!) of an overpopulation of hot, horny, and hunky aliens who, other than their blue skin and horns, look an awful lot like humans! (Imagine that!) Happily, these aliens turn out to be the most sensitive, caring, sexy, and romantic group of aliens one could ever wish for. And monogamous!! Additionally, (and oddly strange!) as it turns out, they also speak English!

The whole series consists of at least ten books(six of which are available on Audible Escape). I don’t think they necessarily have to be listened to in order as each one could easily be listened to as a stand-alone novel, but each one does loosely build upon the one before, so it might be more fun to listen to them in order.

Hollie Jackson, the female voice, is fantastic. She has a wide range of vocal narration skills and breathes new life into each female character. She does a great job! The male voice is okay, but nothing really special. All of his characters all seem to sound the same with the same Scandinavian like sounding accents.

Overall, I think this whole series is very well done. If you are an Audible Escape member, you can listen to the first six in the series with your membership, and I highly recommend it!! ☺️

Male narrator was amazing, female was meh.

The male portion of the narrative was phenomenal! The female? Not as such. She didn’t do a bad job, just kind of eh. I have no idea why she gave Georgie a southern accent. George is from Florida. She was born and raised in Orlando. I don’t know if she got her potentially mixed with Liz, who is from Oklahoma, but even then it’s a different twang than what she was doing. It was weird and really annoyed me while I was listening. It tells me she didn’t particularly care about the first couple books orrrrrrr she was asked to do it and that’s even more annoying because the studio that recorded these books didn’t care.
The story is good and the characters are interesting. I hate how Kira viewed Harlow towards the end but I don’t want to say much on that to avoid spoilers. 8/10. I would recommend this book to others.
