Publisher's summary

Everything's bigger in Big Sky country, including the hearts of the Montana Men.

After years on the rodeo circuit, Gabe Bowden wants nothing more than land of his own and a woman who will claim his heart for more than one night. When he has the chance to buy the enormous Wolf Ranch spread, he snaps up the incredible deal. Everything is set until Gabe rescues a woman on the deserted, snowy road leading to the property, and the half-frozen beauty changes everything.

Ella Wolf rushes to her family's abandoned Montana ranch after her twin sister is murdered. She knows she's next--unless she can uncover a secret hidden somewhere at Wolf Ranch. The last thing Ella expects is to be rescued by a rugged rancher with his own agenda. A man who almost makes her forget how dangerous love can be....

As an unlikely partnership sparks into something so much more, and a killer closes in, can Ella and Gabe learn to trust one another before it's too late?

Slow story. Slow action. Predictable.

Would have preferred a better narrator for male voices. Good story but could have improved on action.

Can't Beat A Montana Man!

Jennifer Ryan filled this novel with laughter, suspense, and romance interwoven in this dramatic story of pain and loss coming full circle back to a happy ever after ending. I'm anxious for the next book in the series!

Sadness & Romance; Gushy!

If you want a romance with tears of joy and sadness enough to either make you nauseous or smile, then this is the story for you. I had more moments where I leaned towards the queasiness end, but I read romances for the HEA and some romantic words of the "I can't live without you type." So I can't complain when I get it. But sometimes, like anything that's good, too much of it--like a dozen donuts compared to 2--ends up making you sick. It would've been better if it was a bit shorter. And the sex scenes helped. They weren't explicit or erotic, but romantic and warm with just enough heat of the desperation type. So, in the end, I smiled because it was over and because it was a doozy of a HEA.

Ella and Gabe. Can they find a middle ground where they can exist.

I was hooked from the beginning. Nothing disappointing in the character building. The beautiful Montana background is like another character. The narration was perfect.

Good book!

I really enjoyed this story. It captured my interest from the beginning, and kept it the entire time. If I had one complaint, I would tell the main characters to stop assuming and talk to each other! But, as we all know, it makes for good romantic drama. Coleen did a great job with the narration. Going to look for the next book in the series.

Disagree with reviewer Kent

Pretty good story. Disagree with reviewer Kent. There is no filth, no disgusting language, and the "F" word was hardly used at all. There were very few sex scenes and they were not at all explicit. The narrator was not my favorite, but not too bad.

Too predictable

I felt like is was reading a Lifetime Movie. Ella was way to perfect on everything she did. Became bored with this before it was over.

Always a favorite

I’ve read and listened to this story multiple times. I always love a bit of mystery with romance. The only thing that bothers me is the male voices. Not the best and They all sound similar. This is always a con when a book is narrated by one person, man or women.
