Captivating!

Allyson is racing through the unlit streets, trying to outrun the devil behind her; at least she thinks he's behind her. She finally broke up with her cruel, abusive boyfriend, Drew, and to say he didn't take it well would be the understatement of the year. Allyson needs to stay one step ahead of him because he has a vicious temper and won't think twice about taking it out on her. When she sees the red and blue lights flashing in her rearview mirror, she hangs her head and prays that the ticket doesn't cost her a fortune. Officer Cory Carlisle has given out his share of speeding tickets, but something about this speeding woman didn't sit quite right. She had a far-off stare with a bit of sadness on her face and he had to wonder what she was running from. He gave her a warning and she was free to go, but she couldn't stop thinking about Officer Carlisle and how he made her feel. There is a bit of danger emanating from Cory that draws Allyson to him. The next morning, Allyson's mother is surprised to see that she's home but she's happy to see her. Allyson can't help but worry because her mother is acting so uncomfortable or, perhaps, flustered in her presence but the reason is a happy one. Her boyfriend, Jeff, proposed and she has a beautiful new diamond ring to prove it. Jeff wants to introduce his son to the two most important women in his life so they plan for a "family dinner" together. Cory and Allyson can't believe it when they find themselves together again, as step-siblings, and it appears that they are off limits to each other. They do spend time together, learning each other's proclivities, but not yet the full extent of their desires. Allyson's ex isn't done with her, refuses to let her go and he's become even more threatening and delusional than ever. Unless she comes back to him, he's going to post the pictures he took of her when they were in bed together. She's completely humiliated and is losing faith in her self-worth because she didn't stand up to him. When she disappears, it's going to be up to Cory to get her back before Drew can hurt her. I really enjoyed this story and Cory definitely qualifies as a first class book boyfriend. Stacy Hinkle does a wonderful job with the narration. Her voice is clear, well-modulated and is able to do the male and female voices with equal perfection! 

Well hello officer

I went into this not reading the blurb. I assume it was going to be a wham bam thank you ma'am. I am so happy to say I was wrong. Overall I enjoyed this book so much. What could have made it better? Only thing I would have loved would have been a guy reading Cory's part. Great book Stephanie!

Stephanie’s books are a 1-click for me. Wether it’s e-book or audiobook, I have to get my hands on them! Now, I’m also an audio addict to. And yes, Stacy isn’t one of the big 6 female narrators, but DON’T hesitate! She pulls out masculine like nobody’s business!

From the moment our girl gets pulled over, you get pulled in, and there is going to be no relief for any of us until these two get together!

Oh... and when you’re done with this one... swing over to her other book Mr. OMG cause DAYUM!

Hot cop, stepbrother...revenge porn?

Allyson’s night could not get any worse...then it does when she gets pulled over by a hot cop. Lucky for her, Officer Carlisle senses that the cute woman is having a bad night and lets her off with a warning. Each has lustful thoughts of the other...imagine their surprise when they meet their respective parent’s significant other!! They vow to work on friendship but pesky chemistry gets in the way. When Allyson is a victim of revenge porn, her hot cop rides to the rescue! Cute story with some steamy moments. Easy read/listen.

Loved this book!

I really enjoyed listening to this erotic romance story. The characters were interesting, and the plot was captivating. I loved the chemistry between Officer Carlisle and Allyson. Stacy Hinkle did a great job narrating both the male and female characters. My only complaint with this book is that I wish the story had been longer. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Holy hot cop!!!!

Another hit and it touches on sensitive topics that occur continually in today's college lifestyle. The story is well written and it is awesome and not the typical step sibling romance out there. Cory Carlisle is one tough badass, take no junk cop and once he sees Allyson, the attraction is automatic but he remain professional. His sense awaken the fear from Allyson after he pulls her over for speeding. Allyson is in college to become a teacher and she is running from someone(abusive ex-boyfriend) Drew. IMO, Someone should've shot him in the a** and placed pic of him on the internet:). The next day, Allyson mother set-up dinner to tell her daughter of her up-coming marriage to Jeff. The night of the dinner Allyson get the surprise announcement that Cory will be her step-brother. The author did an exceptional job with this storyline of abusive relationship, marriage, obsessed lover and kidnapping and I applaud her. Cory decided nothing will stop him from setting Allyson free even breaking his commander orders. Thank you Stephanie for a great story and I look forward to reading more!

To the rescue

I liked the relationship that Allison and Cory ended up reaching. I thought the suspense brought on by her exboyfriend, Drew, caused a bit of an extreme reaction from her. And I felt like a lot of the book was spend describing little details of rooms or outfits and less time developing characters or explaining connections. I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Stacy Hinkle, who was underwhelming.

Interesting step brother romance

This book has me on the edge of my seat while listening and I love the voice of the narrator. Between the chemistry with Allison has with her step brother (who she didn’t know was her step brother upon their meeting) and the jealous ex boyfriend storyline it was a fast paced story. I don’t want to say much about the story line as I feel the twists and turns were fantastic. The characters were very easy to imagine with the details the author gave and very easy to connect to and relate to their emotions.
Truly a great listen.

Sexy as always!

A man in uniform what isn't to love? Add in some sensitivity, and wow off the charts. I have loved all of Stephanie Brothers stepbrother books. Highly recommend this book (well any of her books really)! The narrator did an absolutely fantastic job! She really brought the story to life.
