Good book wonderful narrator

I enjoyed the twists and turns in this book. Meghan is a brilliant narrator with her different voices and emotion that kept it alive for me.

Suspenseful

The author does a good job of building the background of what seems to be a perfect relationship. We are left in suspense as we wait for the other shoe to drop; its not hard to see where the author is going to take this story, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I liked that it wasn't a picture perfect ending and that our characters were VERY flawed to say the least.

Really like this narrator and she did an excellent job of giving a great performance.

Unexpected & fun story....

Wow that ending!
It was like you could see glimpses of what was coming but couldn't get a grasp on what was actually going to happen. It was definitely a great listen if you are looking for something different in a romance. A little mystery and some a good characters.
If there was one downside, it was the audio production. The narrator was good, but there was some inconsistencies in the production. Like the narrator was talking far away from the microphone during some parts of the story. It was kind of distracting when you were in the moment of the story but wouldn't cause me not to recommend for a listen.

Unforgivable for sure

I received an audio of this book from Meghan Kelly. Thank you Meghan :-) I thought the audio was great. Each character was portrayed differently through the narrator very well. I have mixed feelings about this book though. It was well written, however I felt frustrated a lot listening to this. I think it's because I didn't care for one of the characters pretty much from the start. This is just may opinion of course. :-) Overall I would rate it 3 stars.

Not your typical love story

This is not your typical “love story”! The story line sucks you in from the beginning but just as you think you know where the story is going, everything changes! This is one of those books that is really hard to review without giving too much away. There are many plot twists and turns.

I will say the development of the main characters was excellent and it was a nice change of pace to read (listen) from different perspectives.

I received the Audible version of this book in exchange for an honest review and the narration by Meghan Kelly was very good! She has a very pleasing voice and was able to give the characters their own distinct voice.

In summary, this was a very enjoyable book which I would highly recommend!

Unreal! or Real? Not sure...

Like many other reviews I have read... I am not sure how to articulate or even wrap my mind around this book. Neither do I want to give any of this book away, as many others have said you need to go in blind reading this book.

I will focus on the writing and a very loose review of the story concept.

This is the first book I have read/listened to by this author. There are definitely triggers in this book, triggers that usually do not bother me with other authors. However, the raw reality of this story and the writing puts you in situations that can do nothing but have you thinking of the what ifs or possibilities or the OMG I can't believe this happened in the real world and your life.

You need to read or listen to the entire book or you will not get the world of the characters. Personally, I would not listen to bad reviews of people who DNF because you need the entire story, and no this is not a book you can read the last chapter to see what happens and truly know what happens. You really need to make your own opinions.

These characters are put together, flawed, loved, hated, hopeful, hopeless, intelligent, ignorant, heartwarming, heart wrenching, beautiful, ugly, open, closed, loyal, disloyal, charming, douche bags, happy, sad, and many other contradictions I can not think of.

I do not know of anyone who has not experienced themes in this book, helped a friend or family member, heard a story about some of these situations in the book. I think that is what hit the trigger for me. The reality check was nice despite how happy or sad this made me. This book will have you questioning life in general and what you do with it.

I do recommend this book if you can withstand the the raw reality and triggers it invokes. If you rather not read a realistic type of book because you prefer fantasy better to escape from reality (which I often do), it might not be a good fit.

I loved the book because of the writing and the reality of the situations. I plan to look into more books by this author. The ability of the writing had/has me feeling like I am living each of these characters lives in their own situations.

Like the headliner unreal or real? "shrug* You have to figure that out yourselves.

...There's always three sides to a story, HIS, HERS, and the REAL story!

An Unforgivable Love Story is unlike any I've listen too; I both LOVE IT and HATED IT! B.L. Berry cunningly creates an emotional story that's perfectly laid out. You see the train wreck, but you are helpless to look away, and just like a deer in the headlights, you're caught up in the maelstrom of emotions this story will evoke. I was unprepared for these characters journey, and left stunned and speechless.

You know you've read/listened to a well written story, when the author makes you feel the different emotions, and leaves you all twisted up inside. While this story starts the tale of two people meeting and falling in love, it will end with YOU in mind. I LOVE it, and this is why I'm giving the story FIVE STARS!

Meghan Kelly does an OUTSTANDING job narrating this story! I've listened to several audiobooks narrated by Meghan, and enjoyed each performance. When I see Meghan's the narrators, there's no question in my mind if the performance will be good, I know it will!

Unforgivable for sure!

Oh Lord! I don't where to begin! When I read the title 'An Unforgivable Love Story' I thought: 'What could be so unforgivable?' Believe me, this title does the book right!

We meet Elise - a single woman struggling to get over her last relationship tradegy and a new relationship is the last thing on her list. She meets Simon at a bar, takes him to her home for a one-night-stand. Simon wants to see her again and she hesitantly agrees. They start dating and eventually falls in love and then the story takes a new turn. You have NO idea!

This a not a love story as we know it. It is full of secrets, lies and betray. You have no idea what you're in for and you'll have a couple of WTF-!!-moments. This was just a brilliant experience. You're taken for an emotional rollercoaster and later at the day I had to hide in the bedroom (from my family) to keep listening!

B. L. Berry plays with your mind and feelings. She'll get you laughing in one moment, and leave you angry in the next! She can write! The story is so alive and well-written that you think you're just beside the main characters. Other characters chim in and they are well developed as well. The worst thing is, that I was sympathizing with all the main characters - I get it. I get why they did what they did. It doesn't make it right and that's not the point either. I found a new favorite author!

'An Unforgivable Love Story' is a story most of us can relate to. This is a real life story and we all know, that there's no happily-ever-after - we just wish there were. This story doesn't happen to all of us, but sometimes to someone we know or heard about. Something unforgivable!

Narrator Meghan Kelly did an exellent job once again - I just love her and she's in my TOP TEN list of favorite narrators. I love the way how she pull of a steamy, sexy male voice. It makes me feel 17 again! I love her different tonal twists in her voice and I hope she'll narrrate the rest of this authors books and many others, as well. This is the second book I'm listening to of hers and I'm eager to pick up the next one.

What a wonderful story!

This book is different from what I usually read or listen. This romance is deeper, more intense and so well written! Simon was perfect until he is not so perfect anymore. Elyse is strong and she deserves her HEA. Great listening.

Meghan Kelly did an amazing job. This is not an easy story to narrate and she managed to convey the different emotions and made me feel as if I was "seeing" it all!

Emotionally powerful story

Though some of the sex scenes were a bit much for me, I really enjoyed this story. It is so full of so many emotions. I thought the story was going in a completely different direction, but I was so happy with the way it ended.

B.L. Berry's writing is fantastic - the humor, the emotions, and some of her descriptions are wonderful. I found myself wanting to write down many of them.

I listened to the audio version and the narrator, Meghan Kelly, did a fantastic job bringing the story to life. I really felt like I was inside Elyse's head and sharing in her experiences.

I would definitely read more by this author. Powerful writing.
