women'svoices continue to bt a issue. of comcern. still wonder why a woman and a man can not do the books together. the women voice are at times even funny and distracts from the story.

Series Continues

Enjoying the series and the continuation of the family stories. Have been following this series from the beginning.

Enjoyable Series

Following in his brothers footsteps, Michael is trying to find the missing barrels of dynamite. On his mission, he meets Chloe Hendon of the Hendon shipping yard. Chloe, knowing the shipping business is exceptional in helping Michael find the missing barrels of dynamite. Along the way, she is determined to find the culprits killing innocent people. Has she and Michael work together, they find that they are attracted to each other and want something more from each other. Enjoyable Romance and mystery. Narrator was good.

This is a interest book but I was waiting to find the rest of the book?

I enjoy the Book. Is there another book that I could buy. To me it was just getting started. Two brother were going to get Married. Did they ever find the
Gun Powder. I would like to know. If I had of know this I would not have listen to it.

Not My Cup of Tea

This performance by Matthew Brenher was not my cup of tea. While he has a wonderful speaking voice, the reading was rather boring and yet imperious. I appreciate that he had a British accent, but there was not enough difference in tone to keep me interested - and I've read the book before! I stopped this one after only a little while.

Disappointed in the ending

I was disappointed in the ending it did not have enough closure to the story it just abruptly stopped

DISAPPOINTED!

This was disappointing. instead of having one really good book it was split into three. This book was like the slow detailed middle of a book. One mediocre danger scene and an equally mediocre love scene. This is not what I've come to expect from this author.

Best prepare for a cliffhanger

This book is a book that can be read alone without reading the others in the series, but if you do be forwarned that this book ends in a cliffhanger. I throughly enjoyed this audiobook and believe that I would like the rest of the books in the series. Matthew Brenher has a nice English accent that may lighten your day or make your heart beat a little faster. This book is well written and will make your pulse race with the suspense, action and the steamy scenes. I have to rate this book at a 4.75 out of 5 stars, the only reason that I can't give it a 5 out of 5 stars because it's a cliffhanger. The pepper rating is between a Jalapeno Pepper and Manzano Pepper, there are some spicy scenes in this book but a lot of building tension. 

If you like mysteries, independant women characters, as well as protective men then this is the book for you. I didn't know that this story was one in a series when I listened to it, if I had know I would have like to read the other books in the series first, I am sure it would give us more backstory on what is happening in An Irresistible Alliance. I recommend this book but be prepared to be wishing for the next book in the series which is The Greatest Challenge of Them All.

The ending was rather abrupt and didn’t wrap the mystery up

Forcing you to go to the next book in the series, which I did, but I (incorrectly apparently) thought this was a stand alone novel.

Great story, characters charming, good study on them. Delightful get away for a couple hours of adventure.
