Publisher's summary

The bodyguards of Elite Guardians Agency have more than just skill and prowess in common; they're also all women.

When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians in order to protect his son. But when Wade's bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap.

Olivia's skills are about to be tested to the limit as Wade's stalker moves from leaving innocent gifts at his door to threatening those closest to him. Olivia has the feeling that she's next on the list. And to complicate things even further, she realizes that her heart may be in as much danger as her client.

finally a good ending!

I have read so many books that builds the bad guy up to be so smart and then catching him is so uneventful. this book has a well thought out ending and I was not ready for not only how they were caught but who was involved.

thanks for a great story with a great finish.

I have been listening to audio books for a year and have listened to many great books and this is the first review I have done because the acknowledgement needed to be said.

Plot Good but the God stuff was too heavy handed

This needs to be categorized as religious romance or Christian Romance. While the characters and plot are amazing, I had to stop after 1/4 of the book because the religious stuff was too over the top. Too bad because the book seemed cool.

4 hours was enough for me

Would you try another book from Lynette Eason and/or Rachel Dulude?

NO

Would you ever listen to anything by Lynette Eason again?

Probably not

Any additional comments?

I'm not a fan of romance novels, but I DO enjoy mysteries and detective/police stories, so I thought I'd give this author a try. I do not enjoy books with vulgar language or sexual situations, and after reading some of the reviews, I thought I might like this. Also, I am a Christian, so the religious aspect is acceptable to me. All of that said, I listened to 4 hours of this book, then gave up. Maybe I watch too many detective stories on TV, or have listened to too many mysteries on audio, but as I listened to this book, I kept thinking the following:
(WARNING, SPOILER HERE:) What woman who is fixated on a man who is not interested in her would attempt to kill him? Just didn't make any sense to me. The performer did a good job, though.
I'm going back to Anne Perry, Charles Todd, Simon Brett and Jacqueline Winspear.

Such fun!

My first book on cd- I had so much fun listening to this while pushing a stroller, washing dishes or in the car. Wasn't completely sure about the narrator at first, in listening to the sample, but immediately changed my mind; she was great. I love Lynette Eason's books, and this was really enjoyable!

Shallow novel

Would you try another book from Lynette Eason and/or Rachel Dulude?

Not from Lynette Eason, unless I have a specific purpose for doing so, such as research on sophomoric writing.

What was most disappointing about Lynette Eason’s story?

It's shallow and amateurish. She keeps repeating the same themes. What could be said in 3 paragraphs, she stretches out and repeats over 30 pages. The plot was shallow as was characterization.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

It was bland. Could hardly make out one female from the other except for when the narrator attempted an accent for the Irish female.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's a good example of bad novel writing.

Any additional comments?

I don't mean to insult. Just telling it as I see it. Or, in this case, as I hear it.

Never disappointed

Lynette Eason does it yet again! I love her stories and writing style! The perfect amount of suspense, mystery, and romance with a faith foundation! Can't wait for her next masterpiece!

GREAT SUSPENSE

Narrator did a fantastic job with voices and with the feeling of the story. I love this author and her stories. Couldn't stop listening.

Dumb!

The language in this book had the complexity of middle school writing. The plot could have been good but it became over the top unbelievable. These women were the worst body guards ever! I forced myself to finish it because I paid for it.

Move to religion

So tired of being preached to. If you're going to write a book that's supposed to be a romance then write one. If it's a religious book then put that in the description.
