Publisher's Summary

As the top PR person for the Belmont Health System, bright, beautiful Jenna McArthur knows how to spin bad news and make it sound good. But when her adorable Aunt Gertie - a secret romance writer - urges Jenna to embrace her wild side, Jenna tumbles into bed with Adam Thomas, a guy she's just met, for a fun and fantastic one-night stand. Too bad Adam is the one guy who's totally off-limits. There aren't enough clever words in the world to spin the story in a way that won't wreck Jenna's closest friendship or destroy her job.
With the irresistible Adam always around her at work, wearing an aura of temptation like a fabulous cologne, Jenna has to hold tight to her senses to avoid falling for him. Will he take her to the heights of pleasure again - or will their attraction destroy everything she's worked for?

About that Fling Stars

I am on the fence if I loved it or liked it. It was different. I wasn’t sure what I wanted out of this book. I liked the connection each character has whether it’s a connection that makes everyone comfortable or not.

I have never experienced any of the heavy issues addressed in this book but my heart goes out to people who have.

I found the book to be a little slow; I liked the time line and all but just felt like we were waiting for something that never really happened.

I am not really sure how to write this review to be honest, I don’t want to give anything away if I talk about it. So I will go generic.

Jenna falls for her best friend Mia’s ex-husband. Her elderly aunt writes erotica. What a hoot she was. And they all have to find a way to work together because Adam the ex has been hired at both Jenna and Mia’s work place.

I smiled a lot in this book, over all a great listen because I upgraded to the audio. I really enjoyed Kelly Mizell’s narration. Worth the read for sure.

Kelly Mizell's narration is truly excellent.

Ms. Mizell's different voices were each very good & I never heard her mispronounce words or use incorrect ones. Aunt Gert's character makes what could have been a very heavy book dealing with difficult interpersonal relationships into a very humorous book. The main characters relationships remind me of Susan Feniger & Mary Sue Milliken who owned the Border Grill & once had the TV show THE TOO HOT TAMALES. After Mary Sue (I think) & her husband divorced; amicably; she encouraged her ex to date her partner Susan. Who were married when I used to watch their show. So a real case of best friends & ex-husbands.
