So very very disappointing; what a lousy book!

I don't know which was worse, the book or the narrator. I hung on until the end of Sail Away hoping somehow that it might get better. It did not. If it was possible, what made it worse - actually truly dreadful - was the narrator. I have not heard her before - thank god. The book might have rated a 2 or even a 3 with a really good narrator. The heroine of the story was a spoiled brat, the hero shallow. I had absolutely no empathy for any of the characters and nor I doubt would anyone else, as they had no traits that were particularly likeable. In the past I have always enjoyed Lisa Jackson, but this must have been resurrected from her rubbish bin and won't do her reputation for writing best sellers much good. I'll try before I buy next time.

Weak Romance

This romance was a severe dissapointment, I could not make a connection with either the male or female lead, The female lead is far to weak-willed to be interesting, and the male lead is an idiot. As a result the book just did not work. This is one of the few books that I was simply unable to finish. I hope that Ms. Jackson's mysteries are a lot better, as most reviewers seem to feel. But for a romance writer there are many better choices. Elizabeth Lowell, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Susan Mallery all come immediately to mind, along with a whole galaxy of both Historical and Regency writers.

Wow- three in one!

The first two stories were riveting and fast paced. Thoroughly enjoyed both! The three seemed to bog down in the middle was there was much actually taking place. It seemed just to be RE-discussing the situation. There was little depth to the storyline.
