Publisher's summary

For the past year, Tasha has thrown herself into her catering business with her sisters, but she’s been keeping a secret. The hot, moody owner of Prime Beef is the only man she ever loved. The man she left behind in college and thought she’d never see again, until he showed up across the street.

For the past year, Jericho Smythe has been waging a war with himself. Did he want to know why Natasha had broken his heart and left without looking back, hell yes. But he’d found himself paralyzed by the glimpses he’d gotten of her at Three Sisters Catering, and knew he wasn’t ready for a confrontation.

Neither of them are content with their lives, but so much has happened in the time that has passed. Can the right amount of spice remind them of the love they’d shared? A Touch of Cinnamon may be all that's needed to give Tasha and Jericho back the richness they’ve been lacking.

Little sweet with heat!

Squueeeee…. I just adored this second chance story! Tasha and Jericho were college sweethearts. I’ve always felt that if a college relationship is serious that it’s marriage time! Lol Going through college is some of the hardest times and if you can manage to fall in love during that time… well, it’s meant! So anyway, these two did NOT make it. In fact, Tasha just up and left Jericho without a backwards glance. So here’s Jericho, with a major chip on his broken heart and opens a steakhouse right in front of Tasha and her sisters business.

This one was backed with all the goey goodness that we love in a second chance romance! Heartbreak, self-doubt, fear of being rejected, love, desire, anger, and even a bit of vengeance. These two have some serious issues to work through and no matter how much they try and avoid and ignore it… they can’t. Jericho is seriously in love with Tasha… the hurt she caused only paused his feelings. Now, he’s out to make her his… for good!

I really enjoyed Susan Marlowe’s narration. I do wish we had a male counterpart in here but I still enjoyed the narration. I might have fallen a bit for Jericho myself so I really wish I had a male narrator to give him life.

She’s moved on, starting a successful bakery with her sisters and living her life...until HE opened his steakhouse across the street. Jericho has been fighting the urge to walk across the street and confront Tasha for the past year...she had just left him without an explanation! When Tasha and Jericho are finally forced to speak to each other...the result is explosive. Can these two former lovers make peace with their past and have an HEA?

Bethany Lopez has the Midas touch...

In times of heartache, it's the people we love that give us the strength to fight another day. Bethany Lopez has the Midas touch when it comes to writing sweet stories with spicy characters. A Touch of Cinnamon brings a second chance for a love affair that abruptly ended, but refuses to die. A tragic twist of fate cut short what was meant to last, but years later could the force that tore them apart, be the one that reunites them forever? Of all the ironies in the world the love is the greatest puzzle. Ms. Lopez tries her hand at solving that with her humorous look at romance and the healing power of love.

wonderful story

The second chance romance is about Tasha and Jericho. They were college sweethearts until a devastating news caused Tasha to uproot and leave college, not returning, and not saying goodbye to Jericho. Fate brought them back together when she and her sisters opened up a catering company and Jericho opened his restaurant across the street. It took awhile, but after some mending and seeing that they still love each other, they reconciled. Of course, not without some drama when Jericho's astranged mother returns to cash in on her son's wealth. Beautiful story!

I didn't like the narration of the book that much. It was a bit monotone. I was hoping for more excitement and emotion, but fell short. It was read well, otherwise.

This story will steal your heart with no regrests

A Touch of Cinnamon is an all-consuming, heart-breaking journey that will twist your heart into knots and leave your mind reeling. This is a story that will shake up your world and prove to you if the love in your life is truly real. Without taking two steps into this world, you will know beyond a doubt that you can’t fight love, you can only delay it or side track it. In the end, it will find you and make life so much sweeter, fuller, and spicier. Making love work harder brings with it the knowledge that the future will be brighter and so much richer.

Natasha left home to attend college hoping to broaden her life from the one she led in her small town. What she found was a beautiful, wild, and huge love from a man named Jericho. When the intensity of their love began to scare Natasha, she ran back home to help take care of her mother whose sickness had gotten worse. Time and distance never changed the love either held for the other. In fact, it became a measure that no one else could ever hope to meet. When Natasha finds her running days at an end, can she face the man whose heart she broke along with hers? Can she continue to deny her heart what it longs for with no reprieve, or will Jericho make a desperate move to show her how much he needs her in his life?

I fell in absolutely and hopelessly love with Jericho. He is a rare and amazing man who refused to accept anything less than the best when it came to love. He loved with every part of his heart and held nothing back from Natasha which is why she hurt him so deeply when she left without a word. As he comes to understand why she left him with no words, he finds a woman who has become more beautiful, more intelligent, and more challenging than the one he knew years ago. She makes him burn and want her so much more than before, and he knows then that she will be the only woman ever for him. *Sigh* What woman doesn’t want to hear that from the man she loves?!

I have read a few of Bethany Lopez’s book and each one ripped my heart out slowly in long shreds before it lovingly pieced it back together into something new and beautiful. The depth and beauty of her books will astound you and her extraordinary characters will steal your heart and make you believe in love again. This is a perfect creation that should be slowly and deliberately savored. This is magnificence that humans can understand and cherish.

The narration was utterly sublime and incredibly enjoyable! I enjoyed listening to these characters come to life and pull my heart in so many different directions. Losing my elf in the rich and expressive voice of the narrator was such a joy and pleasure every step of the way.

Heartfelt story with mediocre narration

Natasha and Jericho met in college. He was a junior and she was entering her very first class as a freshman. They ended up sitting together, going for coffee, then getting to know each other, and finding out that they had much in common. They got totally wrapped up in each other for about a year, until Natasha received a phone call from one of her sisters telling her that their mother was dying. So she packed up everything and left without a word to Jericho. In the process, her own heart was broken, and so was Jericho’s.

Fast forward a few years, and Natasha and her sisters have opened a business on Main Street in her hometown, which happens to be right down the street from a restaurant that Jericho has opened with his best friend and business partner. They’ve seen each other multiple times, and there’s a palpable feeling of longing between them every time, but there are also a few other emotions mixed in that have sown confusion; thus, neither one has spoken to the other to get the truth.

When the truth finally does come out, there are multiple facets to it, but one of the most touching is the beauty of how they spent their years apart. Another interesting facet of this book is the way Lopez interjects a scene that actually occurs at a location made famous by a well-known author from her own books! It was unexpected and fun! There are a few things that seem incongruous and harder to understand, but they are minor blips in the end.

This story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, and includes some unexpected elements that add both delight and tension at times. There is a strong sense of family and community that adds a feeling of comfort to this book and series. The narration was only mediocre. There were occasional skips in the recording, and the narrator seemed low-energy at times, like she couldn't be bothered to move away from a monotone. To counteract this, I sped up the recording slightly, and it made a big difference. Other than that issue, the story is a lot of fun and definitely worth reading!

Beautiful Second Chance to Love!

This is the second book in the Three Sisters Catering Series, a series of standalone interconnected stories. I love this Series! Tasha and Jericho's second chance to love is beautifully written. They are both great characters. The supporting characters are great. Susan Marlowe did a nice job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to A Splash of Vanilla, Dru's story, the next book in the Series.

Great Read

A Touch of Cinnamon (Three Sisters Catering #2) was a great read by Bethany Lopez. Tasha has thrown herself into her catering business with her sisters. She has kept her love for another business owner, a secret from her sisters because of their past. Jericho is the same man that she left behind in college and thought she wouldn't see again. Jericho has been fighting with himself about if he really wanted to know why Natasha left him. I really enjoyed reading Jericho and Natasha's story and can't wait to read more by the author.

Will they be able to get past the hurt and have a future together? This is the second book in the trilogy and Bethany Lopez has written a wonderful book. I liked Susan Marlowe's narration. A Touch of Cinnamon

Such a great second chance love story! You have the grudge, forgiveness, and a bit of drama all in one to make the perfect book. I loved everything about it!
