Adding a man to my list!

I will be adding William to my book boyfriends list! So hot and a little damaged from his family's past( not his fault) but just the same would not toss him out of my bed! Loved the book right from the first chapter! Off the get the next book!

Excellent!

Great story, well written and performed. Honest emotion. Relatable relationships. And Hot, hot, hot and yummy romance scenes. The food scenes made my mouth water, too!

Not very original

A young, beautiful girl moves from California with her gay best friend to start over after tragedy. She literally bumps into a gorgeous, tall, dark billionaire who immediately is obsessed with her. She says no, but she can't resist him.

If you think "boy, that sounds just like the Crossfire series", you would be right. And the similarities don't end there. Their first sexual encounter is pretty much identical. Their first date is a formal event. Her relationship with her mom/dad is pretty much the same. There are long, drawn out sex scenes with too much dirty talk that no one would ever use. There is even a military type driver. Sigh.

I couldn't get into the characters, or find any chemistry between them. It felt too forced too soon. It needed a little more romance, less sex.

Just ok

The characters are too over the top dramatic and the plot starts getting too repetitive and predictive after a while. This story is very cliche.

Love is a healer

Although it was typical, I really enjoyed this love story. William and Kat need each other very much. Good food.

Not a Fan of this book

This book didn't do anything for me. The narration could have been much better. The plot was poor and I couldn't wait for it to be over.

Not just another 50 Shades wanna be

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Has a believable story without the over the top affectations of similar books. Graphic but believable intimate encounters, wrapped in the story of a likeable character.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Ending leaves you wanting for more.......which is the idea since there's a sequel.

What does Jennifer Mack bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

One of the best female narrators in the business. Even carries you through the slow parts with compelling narration. Does the graphic scenes in an entertaining, not tawdry, way.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No.

Any additional comments?

The love stories about naïve young women who are swept off their feet by lonely, handsome billionaires is growing tiresome, but this story and this narrator really put an interesting twist on it.

Book One in Series - Will Not Continue

Any additional comments?

A Taste of You is Book One in the Epicurean Series. It is about a young food photographer, Catherine, who is swept off her feet by a handsome billionaire. Sound familiar?

Catherine is a young widow having only been married six months before her husband was killed in a car accident. Of course she blames herself for this.

Billionaire, William has a secret past as well. It was dramatic and we are only given hints about it in this book with a huge cliffhanger.

It was okay at the beginning but became repetitious and drawn out. I am not even tempted to continue the series – there was a lot of mature situations but they became repetitive, in my opinion.

The narrator was adequate but not someone I will seek out in the future.

Note: Mature themes, Strong Language

One taste is not enough

Performance is extremely animated. Almost too much so. But it is very nice to listen to a story in which the reader seems to "get into it" as much as, I'm sure the author, wants us to. The story itself gets exaggerated at times, both in positive and negative directions, but I think that it made the listening experience just that much more enjoyable. Bravo!!!
