Publisher's Summary

Lindie has heard about forgiveness all her life, but how far does God's mercy truly reach?
Lindie Wyse thinks an arranged marriage is the only way to preserve a future for herself and her unborn child. Josiah Plank is certain he'll never love again, but he needs someone to care for his deaf eight-year-old daughter Hannah. The two take on their arrangement tentatively at first, but soon realize they are each in for more than they imagined. After a short time, Lindie experiences a breakthrough with Hannah when she recognizes the child's special gifts, but a risky pregnancy and serious health issues threaten to demolish the foundation Josiah and Lindie are building - and the love that is growing between them.
Will their marriage survive their struggles, or will their hearts become as cold as the northern winter?

Refreshing - Loved it

What did you love best about A Miracle of Hope?

The characters were very likable and lovable. I wish it would be possible to live in such a caring and warm society focused on the community as a whole with God in the front seat. A community where people love and care for each other in a selfless way. There are no feelings of guilt to ask for help nor worry about its inconvenience.

I loved everything about this book. It wasn't soppy and sweet, but showed the love, hope, doubt and fears of those who put their lives completely in the hands of God and trust him fully. It definitely made me think about what's important in our lives and especially WHO.

It's interesting that Amish books are as well read as they are, especially considering the small population of the Amish. Am typing this up on my iPad, but I think I would trade it in order to live with the people in this book. But then I remember, the book is fictional.

Guess I'll read the next in the series.....

What other book might you compare A Miracle of Hope to and why?

Beth Wiseman writes similar books and series for example. There are quite a few others as well, but her name popped in my head first.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
