Because of a verbal slip the day they met and a teasingly demanded vow of secrecy, he believes that Logan actually works for the CIA, making him even further out of his league. When Logan comes to him for help with what he can only assume is a cover identity, he is more than happy to oblige.

A Chance for Moore is a quirky friends-to-lovers, first-time gay romance between two sexy, pet-loving geeks. It has a happily ever after ending as well as a gratuitous car chase, obscene bachelorette party pastries, grown men dressing their "furbabies" in ridiculous hats, and truly terrible math-based innuendo.

Cute and funny

A CHANCE FOR MOORE is such a cute and funny feel-good friends to lovers story with one of the MCs not being out yet – as a jock Logan thought it best to keep that information hidden. I can’t really say what appeals to me so much about that kind of character – or a total gay for you story – but they totally do. This was a huge part of the reason why I couldn’t pass up the chance to listen to the audio book.

The story.

Five years ago, an injury ended Logan’s sports career and he decided to register at the CIA – Culinary Institute of America – instead. Around that time, he also meets Chance through a family friend and feels incredibly drawn to him, but, being not out yet, he decides to keep his feeling hidden. What he doesn’t know is that Chance feels the same about him, but in his belief of Logan being straight isn’t pursuing it either.

When they meet again years later, Logan essentially ambushes him when asking him to teach him “to be gay”. Of course he jumps at the chance, still having feelings for the man, but without immediately cleaning the air about it, so that heaps of misunderstandings are bound to happen... Add to that that Chance has practically been abandoned by his family when he told them he was gay then it’s understandable that trust does not come easily for him and he is always expecting the worst…

My opinion.

It was funny and frustrating in equal measure to see them dance around each other without finding the courage to finally, finally speak their minds, but I have to admit at some point it was more maddening than anything else. I loved them going through countless gay stereotypes though, without either of them really feeling it – like it’s mandatory to have done that to be a proper gay man. And the CIA misunderstanding just further added to the humorous part of the story. It is a sweet and easy-flowing story with a bit of cheesiness and danger thrown into the mix. I’m definitely down for a revisit of the Moore family in future books.

The narrator.

Sean Lenhart provides the audio book with wonderful extra layers, bringing out the fun and emotion in the story and not only reading but acting out things like laughing and crying – I liked that very much. His voice is smooth and pleasant – well, except when he is voicing Amelia: Yes, it has been said that her voice is high-pitched, but his voice for her was annoying and a bit over-the-top. Same goes for some other parts of his narration – while I love animated and performed audio books, it sometimes was a bit too much. Still, I know I will definitely be giving him another chance, because I overall truly enjoyed his work.

Sean Lenhart was great!

New to me narrator Sean Lenhart performs this story wonderfully. He has good character voices, nice timing, a delightfully emotive narration - it all worked together to make this, on the whole, a very pleasant listen.

There are some great points to the story - the characters are likable, the sex is hot, the humor is funny and on point. Unfortunately, while the narration was very entertaining and there is a very sweet HEA - they just couldn't make up for the numerous flaws in the story.

The story is burdened with one completely nonsensical plot line, one terribly underdeveloped plot line, and another plot line that wasn't well explained, and it all combined to make this at times a very frustrating listen.

Some are things that would normally be ignored while reading a book because you can skim ahead, but that's virtually impossible to do with an audiobook and still know what's happening, so you have to listen to it all, which can exacerbate some areas that wouldn't normally chafe because they'd be skimmed when visually reading.

This really needed some cleanup editing to deal with the convoluted plot lines and its glut of manufactured and unnecessary angst, while missing a plum opportunity to increase angst naturally through the stalker storyline.

Ultimately, this could have been a total "nope" for me but it was saved through the humor and the narration. Sean Lenhart certainly delivered a good performance and kept me listening until the end.

However, if you like humor, lots of hot sex, and don't mind a bit of illogical storytelling, then your mileage may absolutely vary.

Want Moore!!!

This is the first in a series and you are instantly drawn into their story and lives. The narrator does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Logan and Chance have an interesting beginning to their relationship with Chance believing something that was meant to be a joke. Then Logan decides that he can be himself and asks Chance to help him. You will find yourself laughing at points and all but bawling at others.

A Great Listen And A Great Book!

This is the first book in The Moore Romance Series. A delightful book the writing was amazing. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters spellbinding. The characters were well developed and thought out. Chance and Logan are the MC’s of this book. With cats and dogs being fur babies. One reviewer said they had a problem with not knowing who some people were. In the prologue it says who Greg is. I didn’t have same problem I knew who people were. There was humor, Luna, Siamese Cats, a bakery, friends, family, a stalker, emotions, CIA and so much more in this book.

Here is a quote from the book, “So… you’re a Hugger.” Oh God. Could the ground just open and swallow me up? “Apparently!” Amelia chirped and squeezed my bicep. “So, we brought some muscle and the truck. Greg’s stuff is already inside but there’s plenty of room. All the other Moores will meet us at Greg and Dani’s new place. Take us to your boxes!” Chance waved us in…”Smoooooooth,” she teased.”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can highly recommend. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

For The narration I have to say that I didn’t care for his voice. But that's ok that is very subjective to each person (like you prefer blue eyes to brown). But knowing that I can be very picky here I didn’t just stop listening. And I’m glad because he did an incredible job narrating this book. He was very expressive with the emotions and actions in the book. He also has different voices for each character. And these are two of the most important things for me in an audiobook. I also like how he did the text messages throughout the book that made it so the flow of the story went smoothly and there was no confusion. And I was able to completely enjoy this book with such great narration.

Sweet & Adorable

I really enjoyed this story. It has humor, suspense, drama, and romance that kept me hooked. I really like all of the characters but the main characters, Logan and Chance are spectacular. They are adorable together and have lots of passion. They have a slow build because of misunderstandings and no communication but it leads to a really sweet HEA.
The narrator was ok for the male characters but definitely needed someone else for the female characters.
Looking forward to the stories of the other characters. Would love to get the story of Julian and Xander.

Chance and Logan

This story has its up and downs. With two men that have a long term friendship stemming from Logan's sister, Logan is trying to come out and start a relationship with Chance. The problems with someone coming out of the closet and an out and proud gay leads to awkward situations. Then through in some escalating stalker and you have the makings of a great story.

This story was a little confusing sometimes, particularly near the last third of the audio. I had to mesh in my own thought to make the story flow smoothly. All in all, it was a good story.

A Chance For Moore

Audio- OH My Gawd.. I absolutely Loved the Audio for this one. LOL. It was soo good. I've never listened to this narrator before and with the first few minutes I really wasn't sure how I was going to feel about him and his voice. But... OMG it was soo good, I really enjoyed it, Sean had so many different voices and he did such a good job with them and giving the Characters; Character.
Book - This is one of my Favorite Series. So when I saw it was on Audio I had to snag it with my credit. Chance is so funny, coming into the story he thinks that Logan is in the CIA (hehe, the Culinary Institute of America) and thinks he has to keep Logan's secret lol. Logan is a football player turned Baker, who "needs help being gay and coming out" LOL. They have both liked each other for years and not known about the other one liking them. Seriously?!? This book really is so funny. And then you add in the Animals the two MC's have it gets even better. I could read these books (and now listen to them) over and over.

Cute 💕💕

This was my first book by Alex Miska, V.Soffer, and it won't be my last. The story was sweet, and it definitely had all the feels. The story is about Logan and chase. Logan is in the closet, and chase is out and proud. Logan has had a crush on chase since they met. Logan asks chase for some help, and there relationship starts. They have a few misunderstandings, but the story flows nicely. The narration was ok. I would definitely recommend this book.

Loved this story!

I really enjoyed this introduction to the Moores. The back-and-forth play between the brothers is great, and the frequent betting amongst family and friends added a very realistic flavor to the camaraderie. I really loved the characters of Chance, Xander, and Julian, but all the characters were compelling and funny and well-developed. The story has poignancy, angst, danger, and drama, as well as love, friendship, and humor. Some parts were laugh out loud funny to me, especially the internet lists and rules, the contract, and the how-to meeting about coming out and preferences. I also liked the authors' integration of pets into the mix. As someone who shares my home with three furbabies, I thought the portrayal of the characters' emotions and concern regarding their pets was realistic and genuine. Above all, I loved the unconditional love and support the Moores and their friends showed each other throughout. It was very heart-warming. I hope to see more of this series on audiobook in the future.

As for the narration, some reviewers comment that they thought some of the female personifications were over-the-top. Maybe, but I actually KNOW people like that. LOL I found the narration entertaining. The delivery was smooth and constant, and Mr. Lenhart did a great job of providing different voices for the different characters. He also matched his delivery very well to the emotions being expressed by the characters.

Logan's Chance

This book is very sweet and funny, despite the sporadic presence of a twisted stalker and characters in need of therapy. Logan has been getting ready to come out to his family for years, especially since the first time he met his brother's girlfriend's best friend Chance. And Chance has been crushing on Logan for just as long, despite believing that Logan is straight. The two men have since been pushed together over and over throughout the intervening years. When Logan finally comes out to Chance and asks the other man to help him learn how to be gay, Chance doesn't stand a chance of resisting him.
There are three obstacles to a happliy ever after for these men: a stalker who seems to be angry that Chance is dating Logan; Chance himself, with his procrastination regarding telling his family that he is in a relationship with Chance (who his family already loves); and Chance, with his conviction that he will never be in a long-lasting relationship and his fear of being left behind.
I love the Moore family, the group of friends, and Chance's Nana. There is so much love in this story, between all the different characters. Between Chance's attempts at cooking, Logan's gay club attire, penis cakes, crocheted pet garb, and all the shenanigans the various characters get into, there are many smiles and laughs to be had. The narrator does a good job, especially in his portrayal of Chance.
I'm excited to begin the second book in the series.
