Publisher's summary

Peggy Beldon
Thyme and Tide B and B
44 Cranberry Point
Cedar Cove, Washington

Dear Listener,
I love living in Cedar Cove, but things haven't been the same since a man died in our B and B. Turns out his name was Max Russell, and Bob had known him briefly in Vietnam. We still don't have any idea why he came here and - most important of all - who killed him. Because it now appears that he was poisoned. I sure hope somebody figures it out soon!

Not that we're providing the only news in Cedar Cove these days. I heard that Jon Bowman and Maryellen Sherman are getting married. And Maryellen's mom, Grace, has more than her share of interested men! The question is: Which one is she going to choose? Olivia - I guess it's Olivia Griffin now - is back from her honeymoon, and her mother, Charlotte (who's in her mid-70s at least), seems to have a man in her life, too. I'm not sure Olivia's too pleased.

There's lots of other gossip I could tell you. Come by for a cup of tea and one of my blueberry muffins and we'll talk.

Peggy

Critic reviews

"The books in Macomber's contemporary Cedar Cove series are like a box of assorted Krispy Kremes: light and fluffy but irresistibly delicious and addictive." ( Publishers Weekly)

Love the series!

Would you consider the audio edition of 44 Cranberry Point to be better than the print version?

Only listening, did not read. But listening to Sandra Burr narrate the story I think makes it better.

What did you like best about this story?

Keeping the characters going, makes me want to keep moving onto the next book.

Which character – as performed by Sandra Burr – was your favorite?

Grace & Cliff...Olivia & Jack...Charolette/Ben...well all of them

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A lot of both to make you laugh and cry....I figured out almost instantly who the killer was once the story progressed, still was surprised as to the why. I don't want to give away any details.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait to read/listen the next one in the series.

Pleasant to read a story with good, pleasant character with no violence and not too much sex.

Saga that keeps flowing

Where does 44 Cranberry Point rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the 4th book in the series that I have read. I enjoy following the character's lives. It is nice to have the background of the characters repeated too. The plots are good. I find myself reacting to the character's actions with comments!

Any additional comments?

With the number of characters in the book, I wish two readers had been hiring. Some of the voices are a bit too similar. especially the men's but it is not enough to stop me from reading.

Longing for a better narrator

Storyline is interesting. Characters are well rounded. Enjoy the variety of ages of the characters.

The narrator is stiff, formal, and over enunciates. She is unable to create believable voices, especially men.

Moving Right Along in Cedar Point

I'm sticking with the series and still love the folks in Cedar Cove. Glad to say the murder gets solved, and not how you might expect . . . I sew and cook and listen . . . and ponder the goings on . . . Ready for book 5 . . .
