Publisher's summary

Handsome cowboy Tramp Hart left his home and friends over a year ago. He's finally back to make amends and take his place on the ranch. That is until he walks into the house he designed and finds a woman living there. He needs a plan to get her out so he can move in.

Mail order bride Ilene Duffy traveled from New York City to Asherville, Texas only to find out her marriage contract was no longer valid. Rancher Cinders and his wife Shannon offer her an empty house on their land. Ilene has no intentions of getting married.

Join me in Asherville, Texas and watch Tramp's antics as he tries one thing after another to get Ilene out of his house. Tramp had finally met his match.

It's sad to see this series end!

I enjoyed this audiobook a lot! Watching Tramp grow and Eileen blossom was the highlight for me! They both changed dramatically in this book! It's sad to see this series end! I would love to see Poor Boy, after he grows up a bit, find his true love!

Relaxing Read

This book kept my attention as the obstacles for the characters kept changing. It had interesting reminders of days long gone. Enjoyed the author's style and will read more of her books.

Great Story

Would you listen to Tramp's Bride again? Why?

Yes, it was fun and engaging.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters, specifically Eileen and Tramp. Eileen was fiesty and independent and ahead of her time with how she could do anything a man could do and didn't expect a man to do for her. And Tramp was comical, at first, simple, then he surprised us with his compassion.

What about Julie Hoverson’s performance did you like?

Honestly, at first, I didn't think I would like her. I thought she was very nasally, but then she surprised me, because her dialogue was spot on, and she added to the enjoy-ability of the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh. The characters had great dialogue.

Any additional comments?

I always loved Kathleen Ball's stories, but this was the first that I listened to. I have to admit, it added to the pleasure of reading her book. I will definitely be listening to her books from now on.

Heartwarming

Sweet story of redemption and friendship. Misunderstandings caused heartache, but love triumphed. Great addition to a wonderful series.

At last, Trump's story! A Winner!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tramp's Bride?

It was not a moment, but just the growth in Ilene in how she tries to overcome her shyness. It was touching how Tramp's strength gives her courage.

What about Julie Hoverson’s performance did you like?

I always like how she performs "Cookie". Julie captured his character perfectly and made me laugh a few times at her great performance.

Any additional comments?

Kathleen weaves another wonderul story in the Mail Order Brides of Texas.

Tramp was taken in by his best freind's family, but due to misplaced jealousy, Tramp betray's his best friend and ends up leaving the ranch. Now he's back and trying to mend the wounds he inflicted on Cinder and he wife. He returns to find that his dream house has been build and waiting for his return. There is just one little problem.. . it has an occupant.

Tramp's Bride contiues this wonderful series and does not disapoint. I loved the story and how Kathleen has developed her Asherville, Texas world. The only reason why I did not give the book a 5 star all accross the board is that I found Julie Hoverson's performance to be a bit melodramatic for me, but that is my personal preference. It is a fun listen! Looking forward to Poor Boy's story! (another character in this great series!)

intriguing

I love this series,I was surprised by this title, Tramp in the previous title was very ruff tough guy. Tramp mellows out and is a good man behind his ruff exterior, tender and kind helping when cornered.

Boring

This one was really bad. The story was the same old boring story line, but poorly done. The narrator was truly awful and I had a hard time finishing it. Don’t waste your time or money.
