Publisher's summary

Virginia Miller is an up-and-coming tennis star. She's gone from a ratty tennis court in a park in south London, England, to the world's top training facility - Los Carlos Tennis Academy in California. In awe of the talent around her, Virginia is all the more determined to make the most of the opportunity and show that she's worthy of her place there. Her mentor, Nadia Gorlando, has every faith in her.

But Virginia finds herself distracted - Nadia, as well as being a top-notch tennis player, is seriously sexy, and Virginia's mind keeps wandering where it shouldn't. Will her crush get in the way of her career, or can she find a way to push the other woman out of her mind before it's too late?

Quickie read

Sweet spot was a sweet little story. Due to it's shortness I feel I didn't get to know the characters very well. The story felt rushed. it was just ok for me.

Short and Sweet

Sweet Spot was a fun little story, a sexy liitle romp but felt like the story was over just as quickly as it began. The narrator did well with distinguishing between the different characters without overdoing voices.
I think I would have rated the book higher had it not ended quite as abruptly.

Nice story

Would you try another book from Lucy Felthouse and/or Xanthia Bloom?

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. While I enjoyed this audio book, I was not very invested in characters not plot. I doubt I would try another from this author.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The ending was a bit predictable. If I have to have a cliffhanger, I prefer something with much more angst.

Which character – as performed by Xanthia Bloom – was your favorite?

I didn't have a favorite character. Rather, I felt that the male parts were not that distinguishable from the female parts. Difficult to keep it straight while listening.

Do you think Sweet Spot needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

There is a follow up to this book. I was not that drawn into the story so I'm a bit indifferent to a followup here

Any additional comments?

It was a nice story. However, I am more drawn to stories that are dark and more "angsty." Probably just not my thing.

Sweet romance

Would you listen to Sweet Spot again? Why?

Yes, I enjoyed the narrators voice and the story was well written.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I really enjoyed all of them. I'm a sucker for a strong female and there were plenty of those in this story.

What does Xanthia Bloom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

That accent!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed! I also got angry and upset, but that's to be expected given some of the content.

Any additional comments?

This is the first time I've listened to F/F romance and it won't be the last.

Raw Talent Book Two

Raw Talent Book Two. Can be read as a standalone book.

Virginia Miller is disappointed when her friend Nadia Gorla didn't win her tournament, so she decides they need to drown their sorrows. The next morning Virginia finds herself in some hot water due to her alcohol induced shenanigans. However, when she recieves some bad news from her boss, Nadia is there to comfort her. While Virginia is a bit nervous to begin a relationship with her mentor, she has had a crush on Nadia for a long time.

If you're looking for a quick f/f read with a bit of tennis and locker rooms thrown in, this is the short for you!

*I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Short and sexy

This is a short and sexy listen, slightly taboo about a tennis star and her trainer. I like a good short every now and then and this fit the bill. The story was great and it was super steamy.

Xanthia Bloom was a great narrator. Especially for this sort of book. She just had the right voice!

an enjoyable shirt story.

the story was week written and enjoyable, my only complaint was that it was short. I usually like the long stories. the narration was great, although I found it was a little fast. I just slowed the speed down and it was much better. enjoyable one day quick listen.
