Publisher's summary

Ever since the virus took our women, we've been searching.

Searching for their magical gift to create new life.

Searching for the fire in their eyes when they scream our names in the heat of passion.

So when I find Priya, a curvy, dark-eyed human stowaway, there's only one thing on my mind. Do I care if I'm royalty and she's a fugitive? Do I care if mating with her could risk everything?

Of course not.

The only thing I care about is caressing her delicious curves, opening her legs, and knowing the sweet, wet pleasure inside her. I couldn't resist her pull even if I wanted to.

I'll protect her from everyone, even my own people, even from the pirates trying to board our ship. I'll protect her until my dying breath.

Bonding with her is forbidden. She's going to be my mate.

Good story, but some details are inconsistent

Good storyline, but some inconsistencies; like the woman gets a black eye from a guard, but within hours is not noticed again by her lover (not to mention she was shot but they make love that night). So much more could have been added in and made it a great book. Great narration on both sides.

WOW !!! Auxem novels ROCK !!!

Alien Prince's Mate is the fourth book in the Auxem series and it is GREAT !!!  I have listened to all of the audiobooks so far and this series is AMAZING !! Each is a stand alone story and together they are a great addition to any library.  Allex is the youngest brother of the 5 princes of Auxem, a race who have wings like angels but who are facing extinction because of a sickness that killed all their females and is causing the males to become sterile in the near future. Allex is the baby of the family and everyone  treats him as such even though he is a grown man and a doctor to boot. Auxem males bond for life and Allex has found his bondmate. Priya is an accidental stoway on the Auxem mothership who is found by Allex and love blossoms between the two. When pirates take over their ship, Priya and Allex help his brother foil those plans but when it is over, Priya is discovered and the King sends her to prison. Allex must face his father, brothers and his own fears to save her and bring her back where she belongs...with him. LISTEN TO THIS AUDIOBOOK...

Allex and Priya

I have really enjoyed the books in this series, and although they are stand alone stories listening to them in order has given me a real understanding of the characters and what drives them. The books tell the story of the five princes of Auxem and their wives/mates.

The first book Auxem: was part of the TerraMates series and gave you a real insight to the problems facing the Auxem race and was about the Crown Prince, the second book Ayrie was about the next prince in line and then we had Anders the middle prince. This book is about Allex the youngest prince of the five.

Because Allex is the youngest he has basically been brought up by his brothers, his mother having died when he was very young, in fact he has no memory of her. His father has basically ignored all his sons since the death of his wife and the relationship between Allex and his father the King is almost none existent the only thing Allex feels for his father is resentment.

If you are new to this series you need to know that Auxem is a world on the verge of extinction. All the women have died because of a mystery virus and now that same virus is slowly turning all the men sterile. The only hope for the future of Auxem is for the men to mate/marry women who do not carry the H4T7 gene which means they will give birth to only daughters, thus securing the future of the Auxem race. To this end they have reached an agreement with Earth and lot's of women who do not carry H4T7 have mated with Auxem males and are now on board the mother ship taking everyone home to Auxem. But the Auxem men are keeping a secret from the people of earth, a secret which if know could put the agreement in peril.

Allex is not part of the trial, he is a doctor and is basically brilliant but he is also, in my opinion, very childish in his resentment towards his father and the authority his older brothers have always had over him. On the way back to Auxem the ship is captured by space pirates. Most of his family have taken refuge in the safe room and are unable to communicate with the outside world or even other people on their ship.

Allex has hidden in some secret passages on the ship because he thinks that he may be able to get help for the ship or sabotage what the pirates intend to do. In the passages he meets Pryia, an human woman who is not part of the trial because she carries the dreaded H4T7 gene but in a desperate attempt to avoid being raped on earth by two men she hid in a space shuttle and ended up on the mothership as a stowaway. If she is found she will be put on a prison planet for the rest of her life so she is desperate.

Once Allex and Pryia meet they work together to try and save the ship and it's precious cargo, the future of Auxem, from the pirates and whilst doing this they fall in love. They mate which Allex knows would be forbidden but his love for Pryia and the Bond which forms between them mean everything to him. Or it should but when Pryia is discovered his refusal to speak to his father puts Pryia in danger.

Will Allex become a man and stop behaving childishly? Will the King allow a mating between Pryia and Allex, will the ship be saved from the pirates and if so how? These are all questions dealt with in this book. Oh before I forget once mated an Auxem man never strays. He is bonded for life and without his mate he suffers greatly as does his mate from the separation.

This book was a good addition to what I think is a wonderful series and if you are a fan of this genre you will definitely love this series

Pirates, stow-a-ways and pipes, oh my!!!

Any additional comments?

It is crazy how something so amazing can come from some of your darkest moments and how chance encounters can forever change your world! When Priya is rejected from the program she thinks her life is over but it is really just the beginning! The first incident happens as she is leaving after her elimination from the program and bumps in to a sexy man. Then she is stopped by some low life’s who try to steal her money and her body. Trying to hide from her attackers she ends up on a transport. She thinks she will be able to come right back to Earth and no one will be the wiser but life has something else in mind.

Pirates invade the ship while Allex is away from his family. They message him to get to the safe room ASAP but he is tired of always doing what he is told and wants to try and rescue his people. Unbeknownst him, Priya is stowed away on the ship, and a chance encounter involving a pipe brings together this unlikely pair. Being thrust in to such dire circumstance forms a bond that evolves quickly and both of their lives are changed forever.

I do not feel like their story is over and I really hope to get more insight in the next book but I enjoyed their adventure and hope to see how it continues.

Enjoyable Action packed Romance

Alex is the baby but has suffered greatly. Priya us an accidental stowaway who's been able to hide for longer than she expected. When Allex find Priya, anger becomes lust but the pair will need more that lust to keep this couple's relationship together.
It's another action-packed Romantic adventure for the Auxem men and their mates.
Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion did an amazing job in narrating this book.

OMGosh...

This story is my second favorite of the four I've read. I'm still reading it, but the interaction between Allex and his father in the starship, his father's broken voice and the honesty in his words, brought tears to my eyes. This is the first time during this series that I've actually cried. I've had many times of getting angry and asking WTF, many times of laughing, and many times of holding onto the edge of my seat waiting for whatever was gonna happen next. This is, by far, the best of the emotions I've experienced. The narrator, Paul Brion, made this scene in particular very heartwarming. Well done to him. The female narrator also did a really good job. Together they made it a heck of a story to listen to. Of course, without the author, the story wouldn't have been possible, so well done to Lisa Lace as well. Allex and Priya's story is my favorite, second only to Ayrie and Elle's story. I can't wait to listen to the fourth book, Avren.

Allex: Alien Prince's Mate by Lisa Lace

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I am really enjoying this series. Allex and Priya's story is a great addition.

What other book might you compare Alien Prince's Mate to and why?

Ayrie, the second book in the Auxem series. Narration style was similar.

Which character – as performed by Kelly Morgan and Paul Brion – was your favorite?

Priya was my favorite character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I did listen to it in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

The fourth Auxem novel, ALLEX: Alien Prince's Mate by Lisa Lace is another great addition to this series. Allex is the youngest of the five Prince's and as deliciously handsome and charming as his other brothers. This is a stand-alone book, but I recommend you read (or listen to as I have) the first three novels simply because if you love sci-fi romance, you are going to love this series. Hello! Five gorgeous and sexy alien Prince's! Anders' book specifically has a slightly overlapping storyline and well, it's my favorite book in this series!

Priya and Allex definitely don't have a cute first meeting. They pretty much snarl at each other and their second meeting doesn't go much better. Despite Priya's quick barbs, Allex can't ignore how much he's drawn to her perfect, sexy curves and her beautiful black eyes have him captivated. Who can worry about whether or not a woman is a stowaway criminal when his hormones are raging for him to make her his? Priya is equally smitten by the gorgeous, sexy Prince with the rockin' hot body, but can't imagine him ever wanting her when he could surely have any woman he chooses. Lucky for her, Allex chooses her.

Allex and Priya have some serious obstacles to overcome before they can be together, but there's no denying their attraction or their love. Great story where true love always finds a way! As always, having it narrated to me is always a bonus.. 4 stars

Lisa Lace does it again

I really enjoy almost anything Lisa Lace writes and this one is no exception. Her story ideas are so creative. None are the same. Some times there are characters from her other books referenced, but each book of hers is a standalone. This book gives the listener/reader a thrill. It has a strong female that I enjoy. Paul Brion is an excellent narrator. Kelly Morgan is not one of my favorites, but either she is getting better or I am learning to like her more. So many of the books I want to listen to are being narrated by her. I won't give up a good book just because she is the narrator. There are some books I won't listen to just because of the narrator. Kelly is not one of them.
