Mystery, romance and paranormal creatures abound. A killer is loose In the streets of Philly, victims appear to be drained dry and dressed like dolls. Local police are trying to solve the crime when Kade shoes up looking to investigate on behalf of P-Cap. Sydney is tough as nails and doesn't want Kade to interfere in her investigation, but at the same time she's drawn to the tall dark and deadly vampire. With time running out can these two solve the crime while trying to not loose control professionally and personally.

This reader channels William Shatner.

At times I was giggling at how stiff this reader is. His pauses are pure Shatner. I hope he loosened up in the other books.

nice quick read

this was pretty good to fill some time. I'm surprised that I liked it so mich.

Ookay, sometimes a bit laughable with ...

all those doubts.. How a strong "heroine" can be so plagued by doubts I don't understand. And marriage the magic word while bonded simply considered beneath her?! Oh, please....

I like the world created, a bit foggy in its lines, but this is the first book, perhaps it gets better defined in the next books, I am curious about Tristan's story, so I'll go on following the book order

Sexy brooding vamp meets hard hearted cop

The story line is great and the characters are relateable. I won't be a spoiler, so I will just say I love the heat! I almost didn't listen past capter one because of the narrators penchant to channel Capitan Kirk. Thankfully he overcomes that as the book progresses. The weird pauses aside, this book is worth the read. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Kade and his forever

This is my third time reading this story. I read along with the audio this time. It is different when the narrator gives voice to the characters and emotions. The story and characters give off a different pint of view not just my imagination, but I picked up a different feel. I really enjoy this series and the book is very engaging and the characters exciting.

Awesome

I have read the story and now having listened to it love it even more. Having the story told just pulls you farther into it. I could close my eyes as Ryan read the story and see Philadelphia and New Orleans as the story moved around the cities. You can hear the emotion from the characters. Kade and Sydney with their sarcasm or deep love. Friendship between Luca, Kade and Tristan. Brings a story to a whole new level.
The story itself was great, chasing down killer vampires and Mage. Throw in an alpha werewolf or 2. Lots of mystery, fun and hot romance.
I love to read but this brings it to a new level. Thanks Kym for a great story and u can hardly wait to read the rest.
