Publisher's summary

Dillon Keck knew Ashlyn Mayson was drunk when she suggested they get married. He knew he should have taken her back to their hotel room and put her to bed. Instead, he did what he had been craving to do since the moment they met. Claim her as his.

Waking up married in Vegas isn't something Ashlyn Mayson ever thought would happen to her. Having Dillon, her boss, a man she thinks is a dick, insist they stay married is absurd, but every time he touches her, she gets lost in him and wonders if maybe they are meant to be together.

But someone isn't happy for Dillon and Ashlyn and their newfound romance, and they're willing to do anything to keep them apart. Even commit murder.

Another great book in the Until Series

Loved the story line just not these two narrators. I listen to audio at work and have listened to all the books prior to this one and thought the narrators were great. It was kinda hard to make it through this book.

3rd in this series

This is part of a multigenerational couple of series by this author. The plots are a bit repetitive but the characters are full of action and attraction. The men are all alpha but while the women have guts they are all either submissive or in need of “saving” or manipulative but not very assertive.

Great story, ok narrators

The male narration was too robotic, it felt like he was just reading, not expressing and some of the accents didn’t work at all. The female was exact opposite, she did too much. She over acted but was still better then the male narrator. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this story, but I could do without the narrators.

Didn’t like beginning

Really disliked Dillon’s domination of Ashlyn for most of the story. Disliked Ashlyn being so submissive.

Love the book, not the voices

I've read the book, so I figured I would give the audio book a go. Dylan shouldn't sound Canadian, and the cousins (the girls) all sound like a bad Dolly Parton impersonation. Loved the book, not so much the recording.

What’s with the narrators?

It almost seems like the narrators were recorded totally separately even though they talk back and forth. They are very disjointed with each other. The female narrator does a better job showing emotion but they both have issues when changing the narrative to other characters. Seems like the default extra male voice is squeaky mouse. They even try for some accents to differentiate different people, which is a total fail.

This story doesn’t run as smoothly as others by this author. Even though it runs as book 3 in the series, it might be an older attempt at writing. The story eventually goes in an odd direction with so little detail that it was like an afterthought and not all that well planned out.

One complaint I have about this author is that she gives them jobs and professions but it’s hard to actually figure out what they are. Pretty much no part of their working life touched the story. I guess they are both dentists, but they both act like medical morons which is odd since they are both Dr.s. Also, they are called mr and mrs when they should be Dr and Dr. it’s like the author doesn’t even know that a dentist is a Dr. The f also eats all kinds of things I think a dentist wouldn’t.

I managed to finish because I have liked her other books, but this one is noteably lacking the quality of some of her other books.

It was ok

What other book might you compare Until Ashlyn to and why?

Aurora's other books I have enjoyed. I loved the stories and even though I thought the narration was a little strange it doesn't change my opinion of the book.

What aspect of Thurlow Holmes and Zachary Michael ’s performance would you have changed?

Some of the narration was cheesy. I thought it was a little strange that instead of saying the lyrics to a song it was sung, but that's just me. I've always thought it was weird when narrators switch to different narrators during a conversation. I personally always preferred the narrator just changed their voice, again it's just me though.

I loved how they did the narration!

Magnificent story line, insta-love soulmates, alpha male to the max, mystery, angst, and astonishingly emotional.

Boom!

Is it true that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? In the case of Ashlyn Mayson, it's not. She goes for work and comes home married to Dillon Keck, her new boss. Their attraction has always been off the charts, but marrying her arch nemesis was not on her agenda. A little alcohol and things change. But is she upset? And how does Dillon feel? This is the ultimate romantic story, and Dillon is so worth the "boom" Ashlyn feels. As we know the Mayson's though, will this surprise go over well? Will their relationship survive the real world? As in all Aurora Rose Reynolds books, there is a huge sense of family. I love listening to her stories, this one full of the super alpha, sweet and overly protective Dillon. He is everything we all love in a man, and can't help loving. Ashlyn is a strong woman, wants to prove herself, and has that Mayson stubborn streak. And we get to see a lot of the family, always fun to reunite with the cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Add a little suspense of a serial killer to the story and we have the perfect listen.

This duet narration is wonderful. Zachary Michaels is a great voice for Dillon. He has a strong, masculine sound, giving us that protective feel. Thurlow Holmes is perfect as Ashlyn. She has a young, new adult voice with attitude that projects Ashlyn to a tee. I think the two complimented each other well and the listen was complete enjoyment.
