Publisher's summary

Her life is full of structure, routine, and organization. Settled, comfortable, and content, corporate accountant Caroline Milton loves knowing what to expect every minute of every day. More importantly, she loves knowing her life is what she pictures it to be and not what she came from.

The Catawba Hellions VP is a wild one, refusing to be tamed. His motto - "hit it, get it, and go; no repeats" - guarantees a new woman in his bed nightly. His life, though, suddenly tilts on its axis when his wild days come barreling back with a major responsibility. Suddenly, Drexel "Rex" Crews finds he has a real reason to settle down.

When a situation quickly spins out of control at work for Caroline, she reaches out to the one group she least expected to find herself dependent upon-the Hellions Motorcycle Club. Asked as a personal favor from Doll to protect her best friend, Rex can't refuse. Protecting Caroline was supposed to be an innocent task. However, the attraction from their first meeting leaves a fire burning strong inside of them both.

Can their innocent ride become a journey to long-lasting love?

Contains mature themes.

Rex and Lux

An absolutely amazing story. Rex and Caroline are opposites but fit perfectly together. Rex is rough, gruff, the ultimate playboy but Caroline brings him to his knees. This was an intense, suspenseful, intriguing, and steamy ride to go on. I loved, adored, and enjoyed every single second of this book.
CJ Bloom and Nelson Hobbs are fantastic narrators.

5 Stars all around

I loved this story when I first read, this is my favorite story from Cameron's Hellions Series. Bloom and Hobbs did a great job as Caroline and Rex. If you have read their story then you need to take a listen. Happy Listening!!!

Womanizer Fall Hard

Okay main characters and the extended family. There was drama and suspense. Once a womanizer always a womanizer in my opinion. Narrators were good.

Innocent Ride

Drexel Cruise! S. E. X. Y. I love a cocky man and I especially love a cocky man with an APA!!!

So protective but confused by his new found feelings for someone apparently out of his league. It was a great beauty and the beast type story. Caroline and her past was unexpected but well done. Really enjoying this authors style. Wish they were longer though.

On to the next

Ugh disappointing

Worse book of the series. Guess Rex left a bad taste in my mouth after how he did Tessie.

Protection duty

When everyone thinks you're from the upper class because of the way you carry yourself.
When you actually are a dirty little secret that you never knew. When you're are used to suits and it's a biker that melts your heart you're in big trouble

Eh...

I was a little disappointed. I guess I didn't like the story line for Rex and Lux. I couldn't feel the connection, it just felt like a rebound. Also, I didn't really like the dialog. I've been waiting for Rex's story because I was actually disappointed it was too late for him and Tessie, but this wasn't what I was expecting. It wasn't horrible but too much repeated from the Tessie story, like the way Lux becomes part of the Hellions. I just found myself skipping through some of it and actually zoning out while listening.

Horrendous dialog

The narrators were the only redeeming part of listening. They did the best they could with the totally unrealistic dialog between the characters. NO ONE SAYS THAT.

Least favorite of the series

IMHO - it IS only my opinion but here's what I look for in a good MC series: 1) good narration (prefer dual or duet) with the female not sounding like a 12 yr old squeaky Minnie Mouse; male narrator should be gritty and deep-voiced. 2) just enough introspective dialog to make the story clear; 3) hopefully, the author has done more than watch Sons of Anarchy as their research before writing and MC romance. Now all that might sound harsh but for an MC romance to be realistic and "meaningful" is probably difficult from the get go to write something that makes us believe bikers are good guys that we, as readers, wouldn't be scared witless of. "Normal" folks (civilians) wouldn't really want to know what REALLY goes on in an MC but we love reading about them to escape to something we can only wonder about. LOL

Having said all that, let's talk about this particular book in the series.... firstly, there is nothing INNOCENT about this book so the title is off. The heroine is far from innocent and has to overcome a rough childhood (let's be honest, most people have to do that) but she makes mistakes along the way. Secondly, there is 'WAY too much introspection and overthinking. That's not at all realistic since men are, for the most part, shallow and don't think serious thoughts....lol. However, in previous books, Rex is the obnoxious and very unlikable playboy and jerk so shout out to the author for successfully making us like him...even though he continues to make mistakes. Thirdly, the word "broad" is offensive and reminds me of old mafia Al Capone-type dialog. Just sayin'. Fourth, CJ Bloom's performance is good for what she's doing but I still feel that her very feminine and youthful voice isn't quite the fit for this particular genre. Nelson Hobbs isn't quite gruff enough, either, but neither are distracting enough to make you stop listening. Overall, this book is "pretty good" - not great.
