Publisher's summary

An orphaned, small-town Southern girl held hostage by responsibility and self-doubt.

A Hollywood A-list megastar on the run from his latest scandal, with everything to lose.

A chance encounter that leads to an unlikely arrangement and epic love affair that will change them both forever.

When his costar and real-life girlfriend is caught cheating on him with her director, A-list hottie Jack Eversea heads to sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina. He hopes the sultry Southern heat in this tiny coastal Lowcountry town will hide him from not only the tabloids and his cheating girlfriend but also his increasingly vapid life and the people who run it. He doesn't count on meeting Keri Ann Butler.

Keri Ann has relied on herself so long, dealing with her family's death and keeping up her family's historic mansion, that beaus don't figure into her equation - especially with the meager offering of eligible bachelors in Butler Cove. But fate has other plans.

Keri Ann, suddenly face-to-face with the man who played the movie role of her favorite fictional character, finds herself yearning for everything she has previously avoided. And Jack must decide whether this funny, sassy girl is worth changing his life for before his mistakes catch up to him.

Natasha Boyd

This is another entertaining work from Natasha Boyd. She has either spent a good deal of time visiting the area or has lived in the area and done some of the things she has her characters do as it all comes across as realistic fiction with a bit of whimsy. Jorjeana Marie is a definite plus as a narrator. I couldn't wait to start the second book in this series and finish the story.

Excellent story and performance

This was one of the few books out of 100 + I’ve given 5s . Believable story and not weighed down with continual sex scenes. Great narration! First book I’ve listened to by this author ! I’m on to the next in the series !

Very entertaining

Brooking - Irvine CA

The storyline is great and the narrator‘s were pretty good actually. Loved the book until I got to the end and then was very disappointed. I was expecting more. It’s like a cliffhanger. Still it was a lovely story.

Somewhat typical but good….

In my opinion it would have been better to have the male role of “Jack” spoken by Johnathan for the whole story not simply the last chapter; disappointing.

Does my heart good.

I loved the wholesome characters in contrast to the Hollywood characters/ . Great romance . Wish the world had more faithful friends and family like Cary Ann has.

Pretty Good

While this book had some issues, it also depicted several feminist ideas that I enjoyed seeing in writing.
What upset me most is that the heroine slapped the hero. That is not ok. I wish she would have been called out for that.

Good story, great narrator

I thought it was a good story. I'm not that into love stories, but this was a good one. I also really liked the narrator. She did a wonderful job and I loved her accent!

Good storyline, BUT...

Keri Ann is irritatingly gullible, naive, and weak. Good performance, characters, and narration. Hope she gets a spine in the next book.
