Publisher's summary

Patrick, Joe, and Zooey Lockhart inherit their grandmother's coffeeshop - with the caveat that they have one year to make it profitable. If they don't, they lose everything - including each other.

Book one: Java Frost

Preschool teacher Amy Lane's Prince Charming must have gotten lost along the way to quaint Ashford Falls. Maybe she'll need to get out into the world to find him. But to find love and adventure on her travels, she needs a part-time job, quick.

Ben Brooks knows more about curing cancer than he does about raising kids. He spends all his time in his lab, searching for a cure, and avoiding contact with people. Growing up as a child prodigy, he's never been good with relationships, but now he's suddenly responsible for his young daughter, Livvy. At a loss for how to relate to the solemn, quiet child he knows he needs help and he needs it fast.

When Livvy and Ben meet Miss Amy in Cupid's Coffeeshop, she easily gets Livvy to giggle. Hoping to learn her technique, Ben hires Amy to teach him to have fun with his daughter. But when he falls hard for the lively woman who brightens the gray January days, will lessons in fun turn into playing for keeps?

Book two: Cupid's Kiss

Card shop owner Valentina Mahon is the grinch of Valentine's Day. She hates everything about the holiday - from hearts and flowers to Cupid's chubby bottom. Burned by love once before, she's got no desire to experience any of it, ever again. Unfortunately, as the owner of Val's Cards and Gifts, she's surrounded by puffy hearts and chubby cherub decor for weeks on end.

Hunky delivery man Mac Romano's crushed on Val for ages but she's never seemed to notice him. With a big job promotion threatening to take away his daily visit with Val, it's now or never to finally get the girl. Will he finally get Val to be his Valentine?

Book three: Lucky Latte

When Claire O'Shaughnessy needs a date for her younger sister's upcoming wedding, her new co-worker Grayson March offers to help her - for a price. She'll have to let him work with her on their firm's biggest account.

To pose as her lover, Grayson takes a crash course in getting to know Claire. They quickly learn that a fake romance might just turn out to be the real thing.

Book four: Cherry Blossom Cappuccino

Spring fever strikes as the Lockhart cousins spar over drumming up more business. When Joe rents a food truck to drive around at lunch, he becomes a media sensation as the coffee hunk.

Ace reporter Jefferson Elliot arrives to cover the story and just happens to be attorney Ruby Davis' old flame.

When they were young, Ruby turned down Jefferson's proposal for the chance to go to law school. When Jefferson returns to Ashford Falls, maybe it's not too late for true love after all.

Good Romance Boxed set with Books 1-4

The story starts with Patrick, Joe, and Zooey inheriting their's grandma's Coffeeshop. I was surprised that the romances do not include them as the main characters but rather people they know.

The stories are short and sweet with a HEA conclusions. I wish they were a bit longer with more character development but if you like short stories with no cliffhangers or excessive drama, they will be perfect for you.

The narrator did a good job bringing the story to life. I enjoyed listening to her.

I'm hoping the next stories will include more of the coffeeshop owners and their love story. Perhaps how the Coffeeshop brought couples together that otherwise might never have met.

I'm looking forward to listening to more stories from this author.

Great Stories

I got this book via audiobook boom. I loved each of these four HEA. They were funny, quirky, and enjoyable. Each one told of love lost and refound or learning to love again after pain. I especially loved the last one. After fifty years Aunty Ruby finally got her HEA with Jefferson. Can't wait to find out what the next set will hold. The narrator was very good some of her accent were just downright funny but this is a book filled with humor so what do you expect?

Love the boxed set!

What made the experience of listening to Cupid's Coffeeshop Set One the most enjoyable?

I liked that the story didn't only revolve around the coffeeshop and the owners. I like that it veered away from that and followed characters outside the shop and not just the owners.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I can't say i have a favorite character but I did like the delivery guy. I though he was awesome (i am bad with character names sorry). He is someone i always hoped to meet.

Which scene was your favorite?

I thought the cookie baking with the flour was funny

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I just loved the delivery guy and how when the girl showed up at his apartment thinking it was just a one nighter that he totally surprised her. Wish there really were more men like that in real life... ahhhhh, the dream :)

Sweet and fun

Would you listen to Cupid's Coffeeshop Set One again? Why?

Yes. It was great.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the premise of them owning a coffee shop, and it sets it up like the owners find love but was pleasantly surprised that it was also the patrons that found love.

What does Elizabeth Klett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I really loved how she portrayed the quirkiness of some of the characters. She made them seem fun.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The father who is trying to bond with his son and finally does.

Any additional comments?

This was a fun contemporary romance. The story wasn't very agsty and the characters were believable. It was a feel good listen and the narration was great. I would recommend for a quick listen and a lift me up. I obtained this copy for free from audiobook boom for my unbiased review.

SOFT AND FLUFFY MODERN ROMANCE WITH NO BITE

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

This book(set) was ho-hum, if you’re talking about character development and plots. The main characters introduced weren't even involved in any of the romances. I felt the three cousins were the most interesting characters and wanted to see THEM fall in love and with the town and the shop. What does happen is random customers meet their love in the Coffee Shop. Supposedly there's some "magic" there that pulls true loves together. Unfortunately, this ethereal force is never explained or heralded.

The four outlined romances are sweet but predictable. Not a bad read, but for me, I want strong emotion, angst, pain and a reason-to-live kind of love.

Great narration, so it was easy listening. But only One Thumb Up for having too much sugar and not staying with the main characters.

This book would be a good chick flick!

Any additional comments?

This book was short and each piece was sweet. Every story had connections to the coffee shop and a family forced to come together and make it work. And they did. They made it work. I hope there will be more books coming!

Just okay

Any additional comments?

This boxed set contains four very run of the mill love stories, all of whom had some connection to Cupid's Coffee Shop. Neither of the stories were strong enough to stand on there own so combining them does give you a good value. However, and this is a big however, the stories were...unexceptional.

The brother, sister and cousin who own the coffee shop didn't have much to do with the four couples getting together. That could have at least made the stories interesting and the coffe shop location useful. Most of the "drama" took place away from the shop. I didn't get it.

The narrator was good though, and she gave us a couple of accents in book three that were well-done.
