Publisher's summary

My name is Julia, and I’m the daughter of Connor and Ellery Black. I may look like Daddy’s little princess, but I’m far from it. My life consists of lying to my parents and sneaking out of the penthouse. My CEO millionaire father seems to think that at the tender age of sixteen, I’m too young to date boys. My mother, the artist, tries to stay neutral and doesn’t say too much. My best friend London and I hang out almost every day. We love to shop, and we try to pick up all the bad boys that our parents wouldn’t approve of. We occasionally get into trouble, but I can usually talk my way out of it, except for the time my father caught me and Brody Sullivan having sex in my bedroom. This is the story of my journey through life, in which I try to figure out who I am, from the time of my sixteenth birthday until the day I marry the man of my dreams, Jake Jensen. My aspirations, dreams, hard work, defiance, and smart mouth are all woven into one thing - me, being Julia!

Julia...

Unbelievable how easily we're reminded of Connor and Ellery's relationship after all this time. Everything came back to me. I love the way Sandi takes us through Julia's teenage years carefully taking us through what goes through a teenagers head today and the decisions they have to face daily. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as I was afraid it might be perhaps too Y.A. for me, but NO, it was fresh and captivating and I loved it all the way through. I can't wait to see what happens to young Colin. I still love Connor, he's just so amazing and it's wonderful to see how the old folk still have a very young heart and libido, lol. Sandi has once again made me remember how much I love her FOREVER series.

The story continued, though good.

Would you consider the audio edition of Being Julia to be better than the print version?

No clue, I haven't read the books. I only go to the books if I want to clarify a certain scene, wording, or to make sure I heard what I THOUGHT it said.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

This would have been better if it was made into a complete book. The story doesn't quite seem complete... I wish they had ended with chaos or happy ever after. This book is from the daughters point of view, and honestly didn't live up to the expectations.

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't give a good answer. There wasn't much of a focus for the novella, just a filler to give more information.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It carries you along, but there was no big high or low in the story offered in this offering.

OMG!!! Narrator ruined the audiobook

What didn’t you like about Lauren Davis and David Benjamin Bliss ’s performance?

Lauren Davis was the worse choice for this book. She sounds like she's 12 in the entire book. Very disturbing during sex part. She needs to try children's books. I'm very Disappointed. David was pretty good

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the story. However it was a sacrifice listening to the narrator. I will not listen to it again because of Lauren Davis.

A Wonderful Extension

So much more than just another love story, this book extends the series by moving onto the next generation. Once again, the characters have captured my heart with their beautiful love story.

Enjoyed

This was a good story. I recommend it. It is a quick read, and I liked it better than book 3.
