Powerful

Al, the author of this easily-relatable memoir, narrates her work with authenticity and flare. Her voice is like magic, but more of a happy, everyday type magic. Her story was so precious. I am proud to have made her as a new friend this week--even if just through my car speakers! Thanks Al, for carrying such a flame of conviction. I am looking forward to MY path.

A beautiful Testimony of God

Before reading I didn’t know anything about Al Carroway, and I just remember seeing the book on a bookshelf at deseret book at one time and was intrigued by the title. Hearing about her journey into the church was very faith promoting. Reading this book was like listening to a good friends testimony and conversion story for about 5 hours. It’s a great book and I recommend reading it. Hearing the author read it was especially great as she does an excellent job portraying her story in her own voice. This book will certainly bring the spirit and uplift those who read it.

A inspirational book told by a woman who joined the Church after having numerous Tattoes

Al Carraway became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after having covered her body with numerous tattoos. She tells of receiving the trials she faced from her family, Utah members, and the joys she experienced as she grew more and more close to our Savior and King.

Remarkable Young Lady

I first 'met' Al through her videos and blog several years ago. I love(d) her energy and passion for life. I too have felt and endured opinions and judgments of so many who should have known (and we're probably taught) better. The result has been, I suppose like Al, to push me closer in my relationship to my Heavenly Father and to my Savior. If their actions, my actions and my health challenges have resulted in that better and closer relationship... then with a smile and happy heart I'm all in. Thanks Al! God bless in all you do.

God are you really there?

I love to hear conversion stories of before and after. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint my whole life? I sometimes tale for granted the blessings and joy I receive each day. Thank you for reminding me to make my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost in my life and to know the love they have for me. I am sorry for the negative feelings you have had to endure but your great example lifts me up and makes me want to try to be more Christ like. Thank you again for lifting all of us to just try and do better than yesterday.

This book is for EVERYONE. Tattooed or not!

Al really touched me with this book. I, too, am heavily tattooed and have felt like I wasnt worthy to be in His presence. She put so many fears and worries to rest. I will definitely be feeding my soul with this book again! Thanks Al!
