Not rightly dividing the Word
This writer is kind of the "Alex Jones" of the Christian world. At times, in some of his videos and in this book he points out some valid things, but then he stretches so many things when it comes to prophecy without using sound biblical exegesis (I realize most people have no clue what that is, just like most of Alex Jones' followers have no clue how to research his wild speculation. (Alex Jones is a money grubbing nut job, by the way). One thing that sounded a warning bell up front is when he wrote that half the world's Christians are Roman Catholic. Really? Then he goes on to quote the Pope's unchristian statements, pointing out how biblical they are.
Oh and Chapter 31 he touts the CONMAN Jonathan Cahn, false, fake "prophet" writer of "The harbinger" (nothing ever came to pass) and "The Mystery of the Shemitah" (nothing ever came to pass), so Gallup lost ALL CREDIBILITY by touting that "Rabbi" (there are no more rabbis since Jesus). Every true born again Christian knows that Roman Catholics are NOT Christians, but religious adherents to the cult of Mary regularly committing idolatry. Anyway, this man tries to make people think he has his finger on the pulse on the unfolding end-times prophetic events yet shows that he has not exegeted that from God's Word. He talks of "the prophetic community", which is just a buzz phrase for shallow minds (those he and many others like Cahn and Hagee, the "Four Blood Moons"faker, feed off of). No doubt we are in the end times, but that is not a reason to twist God's Word into what we assume or wish for.
Gallup should be ashamed of this kind of tabloid, unscholarly drivel. If you read it, check everything against the bible and know that many of the passages Gallup points to does not mean what he assumes it means. He is NOT rightly dividing the Truth. He is stretching, adding his own meaning to God's Word. Pretty sad that a "Christian Pastor" would do this.
