A lesson well learned, follow Daniel’s example

Daniel asked to change his circumstances, then listened and from what information he has received (the food he objected to wasn’t there real issue but his performance instead) he proposed a trial (instead of eating the king’s food, eating vegetables) in and through which God blessed him and his fellow people. We can choose to do the same and put our decision on a 30 day trial.

Solid life guidance for working parents

I’ve tried to live by the principles of this book for maybe 8 years now. I came back to listen to this book on Audible to be reminded of what workplace choices about my time would be most honoring to God and my family. Still much gold to mine from these chapters. 5 stars.

The narrator did misspeak two words, but he still deserves 5 stars.

Wish I would’ve read this sooner

Excellent book regarding dedicating your life to both your family and career. Andy makes no guarantees, but he gives real life examples of those who have been successful and those who have not. He lists out strategies to get what you want and recommends you to try it out for thirty days. I found this book helpful in applying it to my own life and goals. I’ll likely read it again.

intentional balance reaps rewards

Challenging and honest at the struggles of balancing work and family life and the reality of the effects our choices have on each. With today's fast pace world with an ever-growing list of to do's Stanley proposes how being radically intentional and focused one must be on schedules. your actions not intentions will impact those around you and the ones you love for the better in direct proportion to the effort you make in balancing priorities.
