Awful narration!

I couldn’t even listen to this book 5 minutes because of the narrator! It sounds like a robot is reading it! No inflection, and completely annoying! Total waste of money on this one since I will not be able to listen to it!!

Good Book. Poor choice for narration.

This is a good book. But it was hard to get through for me because the narrator was so robot/mechanical sounding it was distracting.

If you are religious you might like this book

I am not a religious person. I feel like I wasted my credits on this book because it talks about praying and God a lot! To me that's not a solution to anything. It should probably say it in the preview that it's coming from a religious point of view. It did have some good advice at first but had to stop after chapter 4. Not happy with this book. Heads up to the mommas that would get this book, it is sprinkled with God, talk of prayers and bible quotes.

Too religious

I don’t know if I will finish this book. There is so much religion sprinkled in that I did not expect based on the book’s description. Not sure if I will finish (and also the reader does sound like a robot).

Too religious

I liked how the book began, but as it progressed it got more and more religious. I am a very open minded individual, and grew up in a Lutheran atmosphere. I would have liked to enjoy this book without having religion shoved down my throat. Tried to skip chapters to continue the book, but couldn’t finish it.

A religious ruse

This does nothing for telling you what a son needs from his mother. It’s a religious ruse to make you think you can pray your son into being what you want him to be. Simply put, bullshit.

Not very informative

This is a feel good, religious book rooted in scripture and anecdotes fictional characters. Some of the advice, such as being a mom who “bakes AND cooks” didn’t resonate with me. I was disappointed that the reviews didn’t paint a clearer picture before I downloaded this. Also, as many mentioned it sounds like a robot reading.

Excellent guidebook for Moms of Boys!

As soon as I finished it I wanted to start it over and listen again! It's so very timely with so much practical advice and encouragement for moms during those difficult pulling away years.

Useful but too religious

This was a nice and helpful guide until it turned into a damn bible study. That really turned me off. But there are nice insights and ideas for the parenting journey. Also, the narrator was a bit robotic. She kind of sounds like Siri. Other than that, if you don’t mind the nearly evangelical foregrounding towards the middle, it’s a quality book.

Great book

Really enjoyed the book, felt it was overly religious at times but the messages were clear and kind and gives me great tools to work with
